@ARTificialindulgence : The lower part of the chain on my Firefox Edge scrapes the chainstay, as it sways up and down, whenever I jump my bike off a footpath. It has taken some paint off the chainstay. Is it normal or is the derailleur tension pulley loose?Comment

buddy, this is normal on all geared bikes. its called 'chainslap' it happens due to the spring in the derailleurs. cant do without the springs either!!!Originally posted by jha.cavallino View Post

in other words, just take an old bike tube and wrap it around the chainstay. or take an old bike tire cut it length wise and just wrap it on the chain stay. you'll be surprised how quiet your bike gets after this treatment!
a 'little' more expensive way would be getting a gearbox bike like this one !!!
