        Now,I would buy:

Ninja, only if I live near a track and raid the track every weekend.
Ninja, only if I want a screamer and the best of the bests of the 250cc bikes.
Ninja, only if I am a big lime-green kwacker fanboy (which sort of,I am!)
        Ninja,only if I want exclusivity!

For everything else,I feel the CBR fits the the bill perfectly. At nearly half the price of Ninja the CBR is in many ways the bargain of the decade.

One more thing, even if my bank-coffers are fully tanked-up with money, there's no reason as to why I wouldn't consider CBR twice or thrice before going for the Ninja?

And,lets not forget, there is no 'cheap' bike here. One is expensive and the other more expensive!
1.6 lacs for a bike is way too much by Indian standards. So,cashing 3 lacs on a Ninja could, well,be a nightmare for many.
We all know, how most of us would be taking loans, paying down-payments and EMIs for their dream rides. For a common man that's the only way possible. It sure looks easy at first but shelling out cash for the EMIs and other sundry expenses could give one serious headaches over the total loan-tenure.Affording a Ninja then seems a bit erroneous.

For a lot less amount,we can now have a world-class quarter-litre bike with kicks, if less but comparable to a Ninja..Thank You,Honda

        Agree with you Shivank

But i have myself ridden Ninja 250 it is an awesome bike

can we really call it Bonsai VFR???

Well...I would've loved to go towards the greener pastures; however, the bigger whole in my pocket is just not allowing me to even look towards the greener side. I totally agree with the comparison and Baby Ninja leaves no stones unturned. I will be booking the Bonsai VFR (ABS) within a weeks time....Sunny, your pics can actually make a tricycle look like an F22 Raptor I was so waiting for this review...now I can go for my wheels!!!!

                    Neat...

I'm more of a camera person and the CBR VS Ninja...sounds in tone with what we say on Canon VS Nikon...

Knowing CBR250 is here, I have yet gone for the Green Goblin. Delivery in 2 weeks.

^^ +1. Like mentioned by the highly experienced team that reviewed both bikes in detail, both bikes are totally different... in totally different segments too. So lets not get into another CBR-Ninja war here.

The CBR is a sure shot upgrade for the R15 owner and maybe the P220 ones to some extent. This might be a nice bike for touring and Honda's are known to be very comfy.

Nice review there sunny. CBR is absolutely VFM bike considering the price of Ninja.

Personally i luv Ninja looks better than CBR.I am also planing to put my money on the CBR..

WTF!!! guys.. dont screw up the thread.. its a great comparison and would be helpful for those who have enough moolah and the option to choose between the ninja and CBR.

The photos look awesome.. and I like the CBR even more after looking at the photographs. CBR looks supercool and sexy.. Ninja looks outdated next to it. Anyway... looks are subjective and this is my personal opinion.

CBR neither falls in the ninja category nor in the R15 category and you cannot compare the three. Ninja is an out and out sports bike and CBR is a sports tourer. CBR is not superior to the ninja but its no slouch either. Also, ninja is prohibitively expensive to own and maintain. If a CBR is overpriced by around 30k's as a few people mentioned on other threads, then Ninja is overpriced by atleast a lakh. The CBR it is the best bike available under 2 lacs. We have to agree that Honda has given us a world class bike at a reasonable cost.

                                Stcking to the basics

An informative review for sure. But it is not the only speed that fulfills a biker's hunger. The package has to be harmonious as well. A person who loves touring and riding below 120km/hr, is more or less confused about his wants/needs if he grabs a Ninja. Its like he has paid for those features which he barely gonna use. This thing in particular makes a huge difference between NINJA and CBR. With 4 valves and 1 cylinder extra, the Ninja is not way ahead CBR in terms of performance. Not to forget about the extra 1lakhs, this is India and before opting for anything, one tosses his wallet ( rich dad's boys are exempted). The bottom line is that: Ninja is a feature loaded bike, but are you gonna employ those features in your daily rides quite often??? If the answer is yes, spending 1lakh more is justified in your case.

But, this YES wont come out so easily keeping the Indian roads into picture.

Your bike is way better than babes, only thing is that you need a proper vision to mull over this fact. :D
