And the rest will go for CBR250R. You are gonna see several CBR's soon on Indian roads. It will be sold like a hot cake as most percentage of people can't spend 3L on a Bike.
Well, I know many people who can afford for a Ninja and are going for a CBR. Same way, I know people who are waiting and saving up for a Ninja.
It's not just about money! It's not that a rich will always go for Ninja & the poor behind the CBR. It's about your choice and your need/requirement.

Also, 1.5 lacs is not small money! It's a LOT of money my friend.
And for those talking about exclusivity - How many R15s do you see on road at a given time? Do you see 4-5 R15s together at any traffic signal? No, right? Well, atleast I've not seen in Bangalore which I guess has the highest 2-wheeler population. So several CBRs seen on the road also is not very practical.

Persons like you would never mind spending dimes on something which you are not good at, you can well pay for the features which you can never take advantage of.

Good judgment comes from brain not with money-power. Hope you realize this simple funda sooner or later.
        Looks like you are angry.

There is a huge difference between R1 and a 250cc so not take it in here by anyway.

And yes if you pay more money you obviously get a better thing. Got it???

Its like you can buy a crap shirt of 100Rs but a branded shirt of Rs1500 will be obviously better.

Such an awesome thread, but it takes just one post!

FYI- In the US market, CBR250R (ABS) retails for $4499, while Ninja 250R retails for $3999. CBR (non ABS) retails for $ 3999 as well. Go figure...

Hats off to Sunny, SunilG and Old Fox for preparing this amazing report!

Not necessarily. Despite the common mentality being more expensive = better, this has been proven at multiple occasions.

May be thats USA and quality is better than Indian CBR.

Sales figure of USA will tell better which is a great bike since both are priced equally.

And regarding Ninja 250 as the best bike in the World.. I am not saying it myself I have read it several time on this forum only.

He he he that's a cool theory that you only accept :P
Man Ninja250R price more coz its imported, if its made locally it will be almost the same price of CBR250R.

Ninja250R is the best sold bike in USofA coz there was not rivals for the bike at that time. Am not saying CBR250R is a rival or something. But don't rate anything which is brand new in the town.
A personal question: Had you ever ridden a C250R? else shutup

1.5 lakhs for the CBR250R does sound very tempting.

Scratch that. CBR would be better at touring. Unless ur touring through Good roads. CBR has better ground clearence and approximately the same top speed.

Ninja might have more kick in the crotch but when touring, that kinda extra power seldom shows.

Racing is when Ninja will really shine. CBR is just a rounder package at an affordable pricepoint

                        • The CBR250R is not meant to go head-to-head with The Kwacker, alhough both are 250cc bikes! It is merely to get some of the market of the R15 and the Ninja! It is never a substitution for the Ninja! The CBR has the advantage when it comes to the pricing and the Kwacker clearly dominates when it comes to pure exhilarating performance!!!

Which is good and which is better is relative to the observer! So lets leave it at that!

                          • Either the people, who are equating US spec N250R with India spec N250R and then comparing it to CBR250R, are blind or total morons. When will you guys understand this. US N250R is a Carb'd bike!! It has a Carburettor..

India spec N250R has No Carb. It is FI
India spec N250R is 25% more powerful than both US spec N250R and all CBR250R.
India spec N250R CANNOT be compared with US spec N250R because they are different.
India spec N250R CAN however be compared to UK spec N250R. And incidentally.. both are priced at par (almost) considering foreign exchange rates.

The CBR is better for touring because
                            1. You can maintain similar 'cruise' speeds on either 250 but if you happen to crash into someone at this aforementioned 'cruise' speed..(or for that matter aany speed below or above it) CBR will be easier on the wallet to fix.
                            2. ABS may have its critics but as a safety feature, it is always an asset.

@harihari For the Record GC of N250R is MORE than CBR250R Go figure....

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
