CBR is an absolute stonker compared to Ninja here.Ninja looks so yesterday in front of the new Honda. It's either the dull paint-job on the Ninja(sorry! ) or the brilliant lens of Sunny's DSLR that I find the the CBR sooo yummy!

    Now,I would buy:

Ninja, only if I live near a track and raid the track every weekend.
Ninja, only if I want a screamer and the best of the bests of the 250cc bikes.
Ninja, only if I am a big lime-green kwacker fanboy (which sort of,I am!)
    Ninja,only if I want exclusivity!

For everything else,I feel the CBR fits the the bill perfectly. At nearly half the price of Ninja the CBR is in many ways the bargain of the decade.

One more thing, even if my bank-coffers are fully tanked-up with money, there's no reason as to why I wouldn't consider CBR twice or thrice before going for the Ninja?

And,lets not forget, there is no 'cheap' bike here. One is expensive and the other more expensive!
1.6 lacs for a bike is way too much by Indian standards. So,cashing 3 lacs on a Ninja could, well,be a nightmare for many.
We all know, how most of us would be taking loans, paying down-payments and EMIs for their dream rides. For a common man that's the only way possible. It sure looks easy at first but shelling out cash for the EMIs and other sundry expenses could give one serious headaches over the total loan-tenure.Affording a Ninja then seems a bit erroneous.

For a lot less amount,we can now have a world-class quarter-litre bike with kicks, if less but comparable to a Ninja..Thank You,Honda
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

this review was worth the wait...glad the bonsai vfr lived upto its expectations...rather more !
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

                  Impressive review!

Brilliantly done! Review from senior members of the clan always help. I have my test ride all arranged for this weekend, hope the new entrant blows me off. Have not heard much about Conti Go tyres for 2wheelers, can anyone throw some light on it, grip...performance...whatever...??

                      Written excellently...!!!

Very Awesome Dude !!! I am still very confused with CBR or Ninja...currently i own a R15 looking ahead to Ninja but CBR is the budget...lets see.. i will untill ninja budget...but i guess shouldn't Ninja to should have a 140' tyre as compare to CBR.nobody have complain but still...Even ninja should have a FI engine..but it works cool in carburetter though..

Can ninja come too CBR cost.. he he he ..but there are chances.....i hope...

                            Cool..

Appreciate the above details.. very well explained and differentiated..

Honda has alwayz been good with performance.. but here they have lackd wid some designin.. As the most observin is the mirror & the lenght (Size).. However I have ride both Ninja & Honda CBR (on test ride by showroom) the bike(CBR) has a comfort.. And wen it comes to pocket size.. I say definatly CBR250.. just the rear view is a bit smaller then Ninja.. howevr the performance and the speed matter tho.. and these bikes are for indian road.. but indian roads are not tat lengthy n clear for these bike to exceed speed limit..

Hmmmnn.. The much awaited first impressions are here.. Thank you for all the efforts.. Guru bhai's first impressions in the other thread had really scared the hell out of me!!.. But thankfully even that seems to get sorted now
So the new baby lives up to its expectations!! The CBR seems to be a bike i can live with.. Can take it to a grocery store, as well as go touring when needed.. All with good refinement and more power than our previous bikes!!

@sunny: would love some magical(your touch) high resolution pics of the cbr.. I still have the ninja wallpaper on my desktop.. The ones posted long back.. Now its time for CBR..
