      Yes agree with you...
price might be around 1.3L and booking will be done through Probiking only.

Bookings will start from launch onwards as said by one of the probiking showroom people in delhi..
Prices: they are still tightlipped about this..
But only concern is low capacity of fuel tank....

Hey we have only two probiking showrooms in Delhi right ? one is in vasant vihar and the other at cp ?

We can't do anything about the fuel tank, but i hope they have increased the rev limiter. :|

Can there be something done about the fuel tank without messing up the fuel indicator too much?

Bullet guys go for larger tanks all the time but I have no clue how difficult it would be to have a custom or readymade replacement tank put onto the Duke. Any clues?

This could make Duke, with its upright sitting position and good ground clearance, an excellent tourer.

BTW I am no huge fan of the orange colors and the bold, big font lettering

Help me out here, as to what are the reasons that could lead to such low figures!

150 section rear tyre 1 of the reasons, short gearing reason no.2 and brand new bike - reason 3!! simple....

            • If your buying RTR 180, plz change the tryes first as there is no use of ABS until the tyres do the work well!!

I own an RTR 160, and the TVS tyres are the worst in grip!!

                (Both 250s): 150+
                Duke: 134
                P220: 132 something..
                R15: 130+
                Karizma: 127
                RTR 180: 124
                Impulse: 98 kmph <---

Not bad speed at all. The bigger thing is that it can pick up strongly from as low as 35 kmph in top. As for mileage, we better wait for more results and reviews.

@ Sunny: I don't know about their hardware. But, surely they have some GPS vBox or such hardware otherwise how would they give so called "true" speeds. I just purchased the new year issue of BI for updated performance figures/ idea...

                Hi,

Thanks for the info.. I got the BI issue..... yes it is done using VBOX DGPS and its standard. Infact it is the same guy who rides all the bikes mentioned above on the same track.. so the margin of difference is narrowed down to a great extent.....

Duke with a top whack off 134-135 is a disappointment by any standards for a 200cc and 25Ps with only 136kg kerb weight!!

                Happy Riding

                      Hi,

IMHO fuel average is all depends how you'll drive the bike. All the factors mentioned by you do play some role. In superbikes like 1000cc R1 or CBR or Hayabusa etc one gets fuel average of around 15-16 if driven sanely.

Lets wait for ARAI tested fuel milegae of KTM 200 and i think it would be around 30-35 kmpl.

                        • Hi Shubz,
i could see your eagerness on almost every page of ktm duke,me too waiting for it.But only worried about fuel injection because i had worst experience of missing problem with CL500 as it was also fuel injected,11 ltrs seems fine to me as fz 16 is also the same, hoping a fair price deal.Dont you think vehicle should give around 30-35 km/ltrs mileage?

I have gone through KTM site, they provide with Tank extensions, I do not exactly know how they work, I mean if they fit it inside the body or something,
Here is the link KTM TANK POWERPARTS.
Also I read in the Overdrive review of the bike, that Bajaj showed them tank extension as one of the power part to be readily available.
Also here is complete catalogue POWER PART CATALOGUE

I am very eagerly waiting for the bike to launch, all set to sell my one yr old P180 (Anitque Blue)

                              • my 2 cents.stick to rtr abs.apart from low fe i guess you don't need the power in offer for commuting to office.abs is life saving feature.and for the adrenaline rush part i guees rtr has enough of it
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
                                #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.
