But they also said, first cum first serve basis, as I inquired why such long time, toh said, official letter mein aisa aya, may be detraction for pulsar 2012, which might be launching in feb end.

It's always first come/first served basis everywhere unless one can pull some strings and get ahead in the queue

Detraction for Pulsar 2012 - how does that work? and why?

The CBR's when initially released also had long waiting periods and it gradually reduced.

When I bought my car - the initial wait period was 60 days and it gradually reduced.

So won't be surprised if the same happens with the Duke as well.

those were my addition, in a way that if people who are long waiting to buy bike (not duke), and a pulsar with almost same config comes, people might be tempted to buy it i guess, and obviously pulsar is going to be readily available . Well thats just a theory...

Here is the link KTM TANK POWERPARTS.
Also I read in the Overdrive review of the bike, that Bajaj showed them tank extension as one of the power part to be readily available.
Also here is complete catalogue POWER PART CATALOGUE

I am very eagerly waiting for the bike to launch, all set to sell my one yr old P180 (Anitque Blue)
This is exactly what the doctor ordered:
                        Tank 18Liter - KTM Shop

This will make the front a little heavier and I will add a topbox to make the rear heavier. That should make the Duke a very practical commuter and tourer.

                        • The KTM website shows 2 duke 200's now, one reads KTM Duke 200 EU and the other one is KTM duke 200 IND. Weren't the both supposed to be same! I noticed that the specifications are same, but then why mention them differently !!
When life gives you Yamaha, make it RD350 not R15. :D
