yes, Bajaj Indonesia has gone bankrupt, or maybe not but it is declared as such. the news is available on xbhp also. kawasaki has done too much stickering....not to my taste.one thing worth noting is its "kawasaki bajaj" and not bajaj kawasaki" even though the bike is designed and manufactured by bajaj.

Bajaj Indonesia is running at a loss and is not bankrupt. Know the difference.

@crankpin - i have ridden both the CBZ classic and the pulsar series extensively and was satisfied with both (though more comfortable on the cbz)
              The argument continues...
Before I say anything let me state that i love the old cbz. The difference between pulsar and cbz is pulsar captured public's imagination and in time became synonimus with powerful bike. Cbz in my opnion was killed by hero's stratagy itself of never offerening a propper upgrade for it.

The biggest contribution of pulsars in my opinion is they have standardised things like disc brakes, digital consoles, alloys, digital ignition, leds and so on. As far as quality is considered, yes, they are crude compared to other jap clones. But they have improved immensely from 180cl to the ns. I hope one day they can shed the fear of our general rider mass of "powerful bikes" created by 100cc 4t bikes.

                    Hi Admins and Moderators, @MG,
My current Pulsar (150dtsi; 2004) has already traveled 1.15L+ Kms with me. Can I expect the P-200NS to be faithful for such long times, run and lifespan...?

1.5L+ that sure shows the way you maintain it , expect the same from 200NS as well. . .

I completed 10,000 Kms on my 200NS last month. I travel about 40Kms on an average daily. I have not seen any issues with the bike - zero maintenance till date. I take it on highway sometimes and this bike literally flies - you should know that I am a heavy guy but still managed to top 130+ with ease. I owned pulsar 150 for 5 years before this and I can say that the leap by Bajaj is magnifique. Absolutely joy in the decision of buying this bike.

I am gonna change my bike's engine oil to Motul 300V 15W50 (fully synthetic) - suggested by my friend. Is this a good choice?

No, even if we consider 300V to be a better oil than 7100, still it is not required for P200NS, oils like 5100 are sufficient and if you want to go one step further then 7100 is more than sufficient.

while in reality AFAIK, 300V is a racing oil and not a street use oil. racing oils have special additives to increase performance and it have lesser additives required for engine long life whereas street use oils have more additives for engine and clutch long life and lesser performance based additives.

you can discuss all this in relevant thread like P200NS ownership thread and /or engine oil thread.
