Has the bike's underbelly exhaust test done like the KTM's? coz there is concern over the habitual street flooding in India's metro's!!

IMO BAL has intentionally made it brownish black, just to differentiate the side matt-black panels.Originally posted by Rohan200ns View Postthe black color of 200ns is actually coke/thumbs up/pepsi color ...sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

One will ride under 55 only in Run-in period with this bike.Originally posted by shravanchoudhary9 View Posti heard that if we ride the bike below 55 kmph then it will give milage of 58kmpl. but you said if we ride it without ripping then it will give around 35-40 same as p220
.
After that, I bet you can't ride under 55.
This is not a bike who's looking for mileage. It's power+looks+Pulsar.
40 is a heavenly mileage for this beast.
Even my XCD 135 gives 55 under mixed conditions... so triple the performance and mere 20 -25 km/l less is not an issue for me

The only words i can say about this review is, while i was reading the review i felt it was me who was riding the bike and not MG. Very well done.
MG, as part of the testing excercise you might have got few insights into the future plans of Bajaj. Are there any tidbits which you are allowed/interested to share with us?

nice review... and superb pics... as usual..
speedo indicated 149 is good.
and even i noticed that brown tinge on the bike when i went for test ride..but didn't mention it on xbhp...
the week horn can be swapped with a P220 twin horns with a simple wiring mod...
during initial reviews, there was a talk that P200NS will come with MRF tyres as an option. but i don't think it is available as an option now in showrooms.

The Men, The Machine, their writings and their pictures.. everything is revolutionary. I'm sure, this sort of testing is first for any Indian company, and a first for Xbhp as well.
The best part of whole 200NS experience, has to be the "power to people" concept. Not 1 or 2 but so many NS were handed over to people outside the company, a real world test of the bike!

Please explain the above. It seems you are saying that to control the overflow of coolant, we SHOULD NOT bleed out the air. Is that correct? Also how is air bleed-ed out?Originally posted by MG View PostI cannot comment on anything else as my experience with KTM is limited to ~700kms only. Coolant leakage most of the times is not the actual leakage, if while filling coolant the air is bleeded out properly then there is a possibility of coolant overflowing once the engine becomes hot.
I top-up the coolant in my car in normal way(without any bleeding of air or anything. Is that correct as well??
PS- i have asked the same question in the pulsar ownership thread. please ignoresigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

actually i was talking about the handling part... We all know this pulsar can corner well but how good is it when compared to the r15 on a racetrack which has set a benchmark in india and the cbr150r...Originally posted by MG View Posthttp://www.xbhp.com/talkies/first-im...de-report.html
True top speed of NS is 136 as mentioned by the company. With tail wind and downhill one can most probably touch speed of 138-140
Only time will tell
I wonder what doubts you have. This is quicker than R15V2 and CBR150 and most probably will be quicker than CBR250 around a track. But then track is a completely different thing and 99% of the total buyer of either of these bikes will never go to any track.
When I say 35-40 I mean riding at a cruising speed of 90-100 for most of the time and occasionally hitting the 130mark. No one will ride this vehicle at speeds below 55kmph.
Didn't want to make it too in your face. It is there for a purpose and hope everyone reads it after reading the review.

Just going by their natural set ups, an R15 should be able to enter a corner carrying more kmph. However, considering the deficit in power, the NS should get to much higher exit speeds through the mill.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postactually i was talking about the handling part... Would be nice to see the lap times in the end amongst all these contenders. But as MG mentioned, how many of us get to do track days anyway.
Newrider, no hard feelings. Please do not compare an R15 to a pulsar150 or a unicorn. Only a novice will do so.Originally posted by Newrider88 View PostElaborate, what king of riding pleasure you are talking about ??? I have ridden r15, honda unicorn and pulsar 150 and i was not able to spot any special riding pleasure offered by yamaha and honda.
Choose your words wisely friend. 2004 180 dtsi V1 which people said had gear box issues is very much alive (amongst others) in my garage and its one of the most pleasure filled motorcycles i have owned or ridden (that list is long and you may not want to get into that).Originally posted by crankpin View PostEngine seizing and busted valves are a serious issue if reported correctly. I guess until and unless workmanship and the quality of the product are not improved, no matter what Bajaj comes out with, it will still feel the same. All pulsars from the first Pulsar launched till the 220 had vibey engines, noisy gearboxes and bad part quality. Have these issues been sorted out correctly? Riding pleasure was something that all the pulsars lacked.
