the ss might get to higher top speed with gearing tweaks but it will miss out on acceleration ..
it is not coming with a full fairing....rest assured.... It will come with quarter fairing with very aggressive cuts and creases with a revised tank... The tank extensions will not be there..they are removeable... Instead the fairing will be blended over there... Expect 55w projectors... I simply cant understand why bajaj choose this 3rd class clip ons... I feel like breaking those... Since the front forks of the 180, 220 and 200ns are the same, the 220/180 clipons will be a direct fit...only problem, will it touch the tank extensions? Can someone plz check out how much space is there between the tank and handlebar when it is fully turned? Can anyone post a pic?

Brother.. I am not making this bit up. Feel free to verify the following 3 lines from official sources.
The kerb weight of P220 DTSI F is 152 kg
The kerb weight of P220 DTSI S is 150 kg
The kerb weight of P220 DTS-FI is 150 kg

The bikini fairing and headlamp assembly of the P220 S also has some weight. It is not weightless.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Seems like you are some design engineer in bajaj R&D.

yes i think so .. because p180 weighs 148kgs .. p220s would easily weigh 150kgs with bigger engine and exhaust ...
            you were right

@rohan: why do u think it will have metal talk...? Plastics are easier to work with and lighter... Whatever it is those tank extensions wont be there for sure... I want bajaj to change those handles please...it looks so odd... If there is one thing that is pissing me off from this bike, then it is the handles... Give proper clipons, not rose petals..or atlest a single piece duke type handle...
@abikeratheart: me too getting jelous. looks like all those testers whosd pics were clicked are xbhp seniors....lol...

I hope they launch both ns and ss together here in Bangalore ... I too wanted the handle bar to be a bit lower .. p220 handlebar would be nice

                    • my question specifically for MG and other all people with ns200 experience..

is this pulsar as reliable as an Yamaha or Honda? would its quality appeal to bikers that are used to best that is there in our country? my only concern with it is reliability, i really like this bike but you as have tested it so extensively can you elaborate on this? and share your experience of mechanical issues that you may have encountered while testing.. i don't want to be an beta version..

currently have r15v1 since 2.5 years.. i like razor sharp handling, good suspension for spirited driving, brakes as good as i have been used to on the r15, basically a good sorted out bike..

A few questions to all the people who have the same question as highlighted above...

How exactly do you measure reliability? How do you set the benchmark as some manufacturer, say X and how does it differ from Y?
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

                              • Guys, I am posting this behalf of my friend Prakar Johari. He can't access Xbhp due to some reasons. He has a question.

"Will p200ns be able to do a better wheelie as compared to p220? Or in a seperate case, as it is already mentioned here that p200ns has a constant acceleration alongwith the twisting throttle and not having that much aggressive initial jerk/jump so what about a Wheelie individually?"

I can't answer because I never seen or ride NS till date.

MG or anyone who rode NS comment on this??
