Yes, the user manual is definitely confusing on many crucial aspects. Really, should we follow the KTM or Bajaj?

I get pissed off reading posts how the bike "feels" great after breaking in with synth or with mineral oil.
Another way is to wait till some one finds way to make engines transparent that we can see everything going inside

Today KTM manager informed me that Bajaj has a tie-up with Motul to provide 10W50 FS engine oils to their service centers. So obviously, we wont be able to source it outside. And guys who have done their first service, can we carry our own oil for the service? Is there any warranty issue or the service center makes us sign some disclaimer?

Forgive me for an OT Guys!

But i hope we do get to see this faired version soon enough. Has got the same juice running underneath but seriously, this one looks killer!!

I wonder how much KTM - Bajaj is going to charge over the naked version? I hope they remain nice to us and keep the price at an accesible range of 2.20 lkhs? (I guess i am being too optimistic.... but let's hope we Indians do get to earn the good graces sometime soon...)

Today, after a short ride noticed the rear brake rotor was too hot to touch. In fact I just used the front brake to stop the bike. The rear brake pads are in contact with the rotor and its heating it up. I am a bit afraid as I would end up with glazed pads/warped rotors.
Any one here observed the same?

One thing I have observed is when the guys at the fuel station insert the nozzle of the dispenser into the tank, it rubs the black paint on the brim of the tank and the paint gets dislodged and falls into the fuel. Poor tank design by Bajaj. This when combined with frequent refueling is sure to cause clogging issues. I have never seen any motorcycle painted beyond the filler hole. Even the fuel pump could conk off.

Has this post effectively killed this thread?

This is simply incorrect. The tank is made of ABS plastic and has no paint on it. The plastic is black in color.

As mentioned by abhijeet080808, I have few scratch lines where black paint is removed in the petrol tank mouth.

Really awesome bike. Lots of power and torque in the rear. I managed to do a 170 Km/hr on this bike and guess what the bikes very stable (because of that rev limiter). It can handle more than that once you are through the limiter. Tyres are awesome, one can cut sharp corners and those level markings at the rear tyres are really helpful to guage your performance.
Below is the link for the 170km/hr that i recorded. Was just a normal road could have managed a 172 if the road permitted.. moreover i was able to sprint the bike under 100, 130 and 150 with really good stats.
