    Hello guys

i'm Anupam from Bhubaneswar[bbsr]. please help me out i'm in dilemma to book from which showroom. Right now i'm getting a price quote of 200800/- from bbsr ktm showroom. the problem is, its the only showroom in Odisha and there is a waiting list of 34 people and that to 3 month. i have three more option to choose from 1 is vizag, i called them yesterday they quote me a price 193000 as the RTO tax will be paid in Odisha [ which i guess will be 10k]. 600/- bucks extra for temp no. 7 people are there in the waiting list and the delivery is same 3 months. more over the guy said that "we will try to bring in the bikes by 1 month" which i doubt . 2nd option is ktm kolkata. They gave me a price of 213000 . than i guess i may have to pay 203000 [- 10k road tax]. i have to also pay 1500 bucks for temp no !!!! . the girl over there said "Sir u will get your bike in 15 days" !!!! yaar jhoot boolne ka bhi haad hota hai . 3 rd option is Kharagpur [kgp]. They are yet to pick up my calls. its been five days and i guess they are busy in durga puja. One more thing, is it a good idea to write to a showroom asking that "this showroom is offering me a price of 200800 what is your offer ". please guys throw some idea on this.

    Cheers
    Anupam

[MENTION=19266]coolmaverickguy[/MENTION] I would say, stick to the bhubaneshwar KTM. The waiting periods will definitely come down and it would be better to wait for the bike for a month extra than to buy it in some other state, take care of the logistics and pursue after agents to get the registration done. Also, if you get a bike with some defective part/missing part, it would not be practical for you to go to another city and fight with the showroom guys
Better to get it in bhubaneshwar and build a relationship with those guys!

a bit old question but has anyone actually replaced their tyres on duke 390 with mets?
if so whats the price for a pair of them ?
As i will be getting my bike next week I'm planning to change the tyres to MRFs for initial run-in period seems waste to me spend 24k during initial period and also am planning to do a bit of stunting and stunting+mets=hole in pocket.
Can really use some info from current owners regarding the tyre pressure and tyre cost as well.
        cheers

Also check out the alarm system he is designing, pretty neat.

I canceled my Duke 390 booking yesterday. I needed it the most over the last 4 months. But now I may not be able to ride it much. Hence decided to drop the purchase. Also the dealer never honored their commitment. Tank Range and rear seat were playing on my mind

Guys i booked mine on 19th October. im not happy with that new sales person. when i 1st got the quote on 5th october i got a price of 200800 and that too the sales person agrees to book one with 10k. Now this new person ask me to pay 30k, more over he said that i cannot guarantee you that you will get the bike on same price of 200800 as the price has increased. after lots of talking i told him that i anit booking one if i dont know that price you gonna offer me. after that he calls up the owner and said that ill receive the bike as the said price. so finally i paid him 30k & got a receipt. Now on 5th october the waiting list was 34, now including me the list is 36. I ask him for a serial no or token so that i can track my serial no, on that he said i have to show this receipt in there main office [there are two show room of these owner]and sign a contract to get the no. Guys any of you have sign any contract after you booked for bike? more over is there any particular no of lot that a showroom received per week or month. the sale person is saying that well receive 7 bikes and we have ask for 15. Its is the only showroom in odisha and not a single bike have been sold in yet. guys is it normal or there is something fishy about it ??

                      1. when I paid initial amount, they asked to sign a single page form, saying I want to buy 390 blah blah.. and 5000 would be deducted if i cancel and all.

                      2. one need to fill RTO forms and all to register the number. That happens when your bike is in showroom and they are going to register your number.

Does anybody know how many bikes have been delivered by BTM KTM? I am told the next lot will arrive only after 20-25 days! and the lot size is expected to be around 30 bikes.

So, somebody who has booked on Au 2nd has realistic chance of getting the bike delivered by Nov end only!
