AFAIK, there are no parts replacement but only alterations. They would be adding a relay to update the functionality of the fan is what I came to know.

Mine has done 937 kms till now. Will be going for service on Friday.
I called the head of mechanic today and came to know that the flap came along with the handle guards but they forgot to fit it in!!! I will visit them next week and collect it.

One bike in banjara hills showroom came with a faulty radiator, the coolant was spilling out, so better check everything before delivery and about the radiator fan also, the new radiator fan blows the air towards the front side, this is a new change which has been made so that the hot air will not hit ur legs in B to B traffic. I am asking you to check this bcoz if the radiator fans works in the traditional way then it means that your bike in an old manufactured one, the new one comes fitted directly from the factory itself.

          Happy miles dude!!!

I have booked it in Trivandrum. Booking number 33 and they told me deliveries would start by oct end, not before that. Surya informed me this and also told me some recall c**p which I did not buy.

Btw, when did you book the bike? Do inform me if you get it on 17th. I'll start eating their heads.

I think there's a misunderstanding. I will not get it on 17th. He said I will get from the second lot around the end of the month.

I booked on 29th June. When did you book?

I told Surya clearly that I will cancel the booking if I don't get my bike in October.

Good to see a couple of guys from nearby.

Hope we can take the delivery together. BTW what is it that you'll finalize next week? Also, when did you book?

Don't know if its true. Can't really trust Motorbeam.com after they messed up with the drag race between D390 and N300.

I went to book it on 29th, after the short test ride was not able to make my mind between the cbr 250 for its comfort or 390 for its power. Settled for the 390 on 17th july after a 25km test ride without any pillion.

KTM Duke 390 To Get Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control | MotorBeam – Indian Car Bike News & Reviews

Don't know if its true. Can't really trust Motorbeam.com after they messed up with the drag race between D390 and N300.
From what I've read, looks like the MSC system works well with only those bikes that have both ABS and traction control integrated system. It's meant for superbikes, and although people here call the 390 and N300 superbikes, we all know they really aren't.

While theoretically just the ABS part should be work too (might need some re-work by the boffins over at Bosch), would KTM really do all that for a system that costs 80K but only does half it's capacity? I think not

Also, Motorbeam's claim that one was fitted to a duke 125 could not be vetted by any article I could find online. I've noticed they've tried to falsely sensationalize things in most posts I've read of theirs.

GenXT, what was wrong with the drag race between the Duke 390 vs Ninja 300, clearly the results are accurate, the Duke 390 wins and only just as the Ninja starts catching up after the 300 m mark. Even the PowerDrift video shows the same results. Also you have to understand it takes a hell lot of effort to put a drag race, specially when our environment itself isn't conducive enough.

Sachin, Bosch had conducted a media event at their centre, the Duke 125 was present there, see the pic on FACEBOOK.

The drag video on motorbeam could have been way better in favour of the duke 390 had the gear shifts been better. The first 3 gears hit the limiter, thus, loosing around a quarter of a second or more every time.

Do you think when the on-board video was shot, they took the outside video at the same time? Look closely at the tank, when the bikes come to the finish line, there is no camera on the bike.

When the camera is mounted on the tank, it takes quite a lot of space and the rider ins't able to see the cluster clearly, seeing the insane nature of the Duke 390's engine to accelerate, you have to time shifts perfectly which is possible with a clean eye on the tacho, which wasn't possible with the camera being on the tank.

MotorBeam is no Top Gear, they don't have the best of photographers or camera equipment so criticising for such things doesn't make sense. The drag race video gave a clear picture of the Duke being faster and bring a Duke 390 any day, I will get a Ninja 300 and the distance seen in the video and the one which we drag, won't be much different.

                            Cheers

Motorbeam is indeed doing a fantastic job since 4 years now and we all know how difficult it is to make videos!
What he was complaining about is not the camera, or the photographer or even Top Gear. What he is saying (and I kinda agree) is that on these drag runs, the riders posture, the gearshifts and even the riders weight play an important role, leave aside their skills for now! Fix that in the upcoming videos and you will definitely find people appreciating it
