Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
I booked in KTM Langford, Bangalore, just over a month ago, with booking number three hundred fifty thousand or some such. Had not bothered calling and asking till yesterday, whereupon they just threw the '90 day' line at me. But yesterday night, got a mail as below.
When I read 'will contact you shortly', I searched for any attachments to the mail, where they would have included some large pinches of salt, but none found !
Nonetheless, I tell myself that any elation would be entirely premature.

Yesterday he called me that to deposit money within 24 hrs once u deposited money he said he can't deliver it. Bike was booked on 29 the march 2013. Something fishy with either the dealer or ktm quality checking. Anyone can tell me where to complain.

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
I guess everyone is waiting for the elusive next lot! I booked the bike as soon as I got my June salary (post bike launch) and its almost 90 days. My waitlist number at BTM KTM (Blore) is 29. First lot of 8 bikes came and were distributed. Next lot again around 10 bikes is expected in October 1st week. As per the store manager, subsequent lots will come pretty fast. God only knows. I think that 50 day strike at the Chakan plant did us in. I will humbly waitOriginally posted by Rohit.nagamalla View PostNo use... we have escalted directly to Rajiv bajaj then south india sales manager vinod came down but he dint provide any solution.. just asked me to wait for next lot thats it.

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
I've paid the full amount in cash since 11days, dealer has the bike, in the godown since 8days and still hasn't sent the papers for registration. He gives excuses everyday. I'm fed up. After 5 months wait the bike is here now the dealer delays due to his agent's negligence.

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
The dealer has probably already sold the bike to someone else unless you can physically verify that the bike is in the godown, you're being taken for a ride by the dealer like a few other delers are doing already.Originally posted by mohitahuja View PostI've paid the full amount in cash since 11days, dealer has the bike, in the godown since 8days and still hasn't sent the papers for registration. Also, it is not necessary for you to wait for the dealer to do TR, you can get it done yourself as long as the dealer gives you all the necessary documents.

Yeah, Definately that seems to be the case.Originally posted by Cyrus_the_virus View PostThe dealer has probably already sold the bike to someone else unless you can physically verify that the bike is in the godown, you're being taken for a ride by the dealer like a few other delers are doing already.

Someone else is having fun with the bike which you were supposed to get..
You have never physically seen the bike nor they have shared the chasis and engine number with you, and the best thing of all their GODOWN is very much far away from their showroom
Such Malpractises will go on until BAJAJ dispatches the LOT size in good numbers...
I seriously dont understand the strategy from BAJAJ here, they announced that the domestic deliveries would commence from last week fo september and still the dealers are receiving only 10 bikes and so, referring from one of the earlier post the LOT size would get healthy numbers from 2nd week of October...
Either BAJAJ is not able to fulfill their promise or these dealers are making artificial scarcity...

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
@EconomicTimes Rajiv Bajaj: Likely to hike motorcycle prices across segments soon.
Hope they clear the current backlog before hiking the prices. My 3 month waiting period ends today and still don't know how long to wait. There are no alternatives available too to cancel this booking and buy another brand.
