    Why 2wheels over 4.....
Its because 'Whatever it is, it's better in the wind!'

I was going through FAST BIKES magazine.... & saw tyre comparision. Metzeler was one of the contenders.... the result was metzeler sporttec M5 scored 9.5 out of 10 for road performance & 12 out of 20 for track performance. Let me tell you this test was conducted on a Honda CBR Fireblade 1000RR. Pic attached. If you see the pic, in Road Score Metzeler is better than Dunlop, Avon, Continental, Michelin, Bridgestone... so what we are getting with Duke 390 is THE BEST... Also Metzerler is a Subsidary of Pirelli Tyre...

Such a boring friday it is.. everything seems to be stopped.. nothing is moving.. No new print reviews, no new video reviews, no new owners so Duke 390 ownership thread is moving like turtle & no news on fresh deliveries of KTM duke 390.

Every saturday I go to KTM showroom to ask about bike delivery.. the executive tells me ..next week. I stepout of showroom thinking that the coming week will get me some happiness... but NO... nothing is happening...

somebody Please share some good news......

^^ I did the same today. A small batch is supposedly coming in the next week. Mine will be in the batch after that!

Took a test ride while at it. The TD bike is a little older now and has competed first service. The engine is smoother (both in feel as well as in sound). Also, the acceleration is even more neck snapping!

Also, tested the lowest speed attainable in 1st gear without slipping the clutch - its 10-11kmph. This is the same as my R15 and is good enough for b2b traffic situations.

Another thing, the "long time taken for start-up" issue seems to have resolved itself with more kms on board. As usual, I stalled the bike thrice today, and it started up quickly each time.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

KTM AUSTRALIA 390 DUKE CUSTOMER UPDATE

                        published at 11.09.2013

The highly anticipated 390 Duke has now been cleared for production which will start in earnest this month, this means you will see the first bikes at your dealership by late November.

(Please confirm the delivery date of your bike with your dealer)

KTM has a highly guarded reputation of producing quality products that perform to the highest standards, if it takes more time to meet those standards then that is their uncompromising approach. For those of you that have been patiently awaiting this game changing learner approved motorcycle I can assure you that you will not be disappointed by its sharp handling and performance that is a result of KTM' s ultra-successful racing heritage in the MOTO 3 World Championship they currently dominate.

KTM Australia would like to thank all deposit holders for their patience and understanding relating to the delivery delays of their new 390 Duke.

                        Regards,
