Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
Check with any RTO agent or RTO Office. Usually an affidavit will do the job for the scenario you have.Originally posted by SDS17 View PostBooked mine last Saturday from KTM CP, Delhi
.....only 66 bikes booked so far. That was surprising!
No test ride as their test bike didn't have any fuel....
...was told to come any other day for that.
Have a lot of hopes on this one, considering i've never ever taken a ride on a duke 200 either.
Surprisingly they told me that the bike will be delivered within October
. How can that be, when their
booking agreement says a minimum of 3 months waiting??
I have a little OT question guys.....I was told that I cant get the bike registered in Delhi without having a
local proof of residence (Lease agreement not excepted)......the sales girl was dumb enough to tell me
that I should get the bike on temp. registration and ride it all the way to jammu (Im from J&K) to get it registered and
then ride back
.......The other more feasible option is to open a bank account in a nationalised bank
with the local address of Delhi......Is this really required guys?? Do I have any other option?2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
The bend in the exhaust in below pic doesn't look like what we have seen before, have they modified it now to be inconspicuous or is this for euro version?
2013 KTM 390 Duke[gallery1]/44/
The exact link to that picture is not coming but look at the pic45 in above llink.
I like the other alternate graphics in the above pics which just says KTM and Duke where 390 is painted now.Last edited by sparky; 09-04-2013, 02:53 PM.

This bend looks exactly like the bend seen on the test bikes. Can you kindly share what difference did you spot?Originally posted by sparky View PostThe bend in the exhaust in below pic doesn't look like what we have seen before, have they modified it now to be inconspicuous or is this for euro version?

Yes, that's the pic I was talking about. These are D390 pics and do you see that neat deformation in exhaust pipe which if I remember correctly was kind of ugly looking before.
Alright, they are same. I checked the older images and the bend is similar.
BTW, I heard that 4 D390 deliveries are happening in Bangalore today. So the maal is slowly trickling in.Last edited by sparky; 09-04-2013, 03:30 PM.

I have not waited with so much anticipation for anything so far in my life. Hope its lives up to its expectations!!!

deathrider142 , any idea if they plan to charge the cancellation charges. Last i heard from one of the dealers is that all the NCR dealers were contemplating on what to do with the cancellation charges as they were facing pressure from customers.Originally posted by deathrider142 View PostF@#& f*#@ .. so disappointed with the f%$@#&* bajaj people.. just came back from lajpat nagar ktm ..they had said with such confidence that you will get your bike by the 15 or max 20 and now they are saying its not going to come.before October..

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
I would say that those who have paid booking amount to Bajaj, make a group in FB & keep putting pressure on the Bajaj. Then on a pre-decided day, just visit the respective dealers & have some words regarding group cancellation.Originally posted by Mik View Post@deathrider142 , any idea if they plan to charge the cancellation charges. It seems that the dealers have no clue or updates from Bajaj / KTM.Originally posted by chickyheart View PostI have waited enough for the bike.cancelling it soon when my 90 days will.be over.

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
I don't understand why you guys want to cancel just because the dealer couldn't give your delivery before the expected date. Please understand that the dealers don't have much idea of when they might get their quota too and among them also there is lot of pushing/shoving and influence of big dealers vis-a-vis smaller dealers and on top of that there is KTM demand to export as much as possible.
You just go and tell them that you will not entertain any cancellation charge here afterwards because of the long wait. Or you can try asking them to keep 5k as booking and refund the rest if the amount is what is bothering you.

Re: Duke 390: Long Term Ride Review
im in no hurry. reason - money not yet ready. hope the delivery takes its own sweet time. i m in dreams. cant see that bike on road when i will be waiting and waiting for cash. sorry brothers. im happy for the delay. let it come slowly.... there is sweetness in getting it slowly...I'm a responsible rider. It doesn't matter what you ride, but what matters is how you ride.
