Abhi shek Yes yes, the 390 was definitely at the top of my mind. Why not spend 50k odd more and get the big dream. But let me tell you 5 reasons why I had to dream small (duke 200):
1. Money
2. Money
3. Money
4. Money
5. Money.

My family (read wife) would not have approved since I had already doubled my budget from the 80k for impulse to 1.53 on road for the 200. And then the biking gear (quality lid and jacket and protectors). And I have already borrowed from my friends for it..

So, now I will only read the thread and live the 390 through the experiences of the gents posting on this thread

If you could tell us where are you from and what is your booking number? it would be helpful to get a clear image on our delivery
It takes more love to share the saddle than it does to share the bed.

Congrats, Arun. They spoke to me too asking me to make full payment. I too booked it from Coimbatore KTM and I am booking #1. He told me the same date as 20th, but I told him that I have already invested a lakh for 3 months with no confirmation and I cannot put in more money without a confirmed date. Then came to real information that the first dispatch would be on 20th from the factory and it may reach them in 2 or 3 days, after that 2 days for PDI and registration, so please do not expect the bike before Sep 25th. Kindly keep me posted if anything. Thanks.

Sure, dude. Also the manager is a new one now. The old guy was cool and friendly, now in Salem KTM. Also they dropped the demo bike and the main sales exec is on long leave. Lots of confusion. My trusted people are now not in duty, my bad..... Lets see what happens, will update you all once I get the delivery

Great to hear that more bikes are on the way. Anyone has a clue on the status of Bombay deliveries?

Got a price quote from KTM CP, New Delhi yesterday as I'm getting the bike financed on my own.
The price breakup is as follows:

1. Ex. Showroom price Rs. 1,80,627/-
2. RTO Rs. 14,927/-
3. Insurance Rs. 4,435/-
4. Helmet Rs. 640/-
5. ACC. Rs. 691/-
6. HSRP Rs. 69/-

Total Rs. 2,01,389/-

When asked what the "ACC." component in the price is, the showroom manager replied that it is accessories, the hand gaurds. I told him that these are part of the package......he had no answer and started giving vague replies. So I din't confront him much.... as others have suggested earlier din't want to start on a bad note......

Helmet can be skipped if one shows a bill confirming purchase.

About the deliveries, the manager here too said that the bikes are going to come very soon with the first lot of 20 expected by the last week of Sept. He further mentioned that once the deliveries start things will become smooth with a lot of 20 bikes coming every 10-15 days. Don't know how true is that...

How is the RTO Rs 14927? It is almost 8% of bikes ex-showroom price. Was the road tax so high in Delhi? I guess it was not, it is around 6%.
Can you kindly check with them again and ask for an explanation.

Yes, road tax in Delhi is 8% for bikes exceeding Rs. 50000/-.
