BTW, what irks me are the so called offers from sub-dealers many of whom have tie ups with Bajaj's prime dealer Sai service here in Mumbai to give instant delivery of D390 by paying 20k extra ON-payment. When asked how can they guarantee instant delivery when the supply from chakan itself is an issue they said limited stock is available with the authorised dealer which can be siphoned off by giving extra money ... Some one should raid their go-downs and expose these dealers !!!

4000 units per day is the peak production capacity for the chakan plant.. currently they should be producing very close to these numbers..
During the strike they had moved the pulsar range out of the chakan plant and only KTM bikes (125, 200 & 390) were being produced at 2500 units per day..
If they have reinstated the pulsar production back to chakan then they would be producing atleast 1500 (125, 200 & 390) KTM's per day, not to mention that all getting exported (390)

Seems like these dealers want to take full advantage of the situation..
Inspite of sitting on our money for so many months, now they are selling the bikes for extra for instant delivery, these bikes belong to the people who had prebooked it..
Someone should really take a stick upto them...

What's hurting even more is, like they say in the movie '3 Idiots'....
"jab doston ko D390 nahi milta hai, toh bohot dukh hota hai... par jab doston ko D390 milta hai, woh bhi first... toh aur bhi zyada dukh hota hai....." loll....

I am just thinking about the future ,If so much chaos even before the delivery what would happen after I actually get it. Will I have to wait for duke 390 specific spare parts ?
Somethings may happen in those initial days specially with that mad acceleration so then what.
            Owners please enlighten...

Having no communication from Bajaj/showroom for 2.5 months and saying Shahrukh also owns a Duke 200 is just frustrating ...

Dont worry about the spare parts n all.. Most of the parts are the same as that of Duke 200..

Shahrukh owning a Duke 200 is really a joke... i wonder how he must be riding it ...

All this what we discussed in the forum about .. people are planning to cancle the booking, if bike doesnt get delivered on time (90 day). Is there a way to show this communication to Bajaj. Please if anyone has any Idea to send it to bajaj, I think they will take a serious thought about it..

Just because the INR is falling down.. doesnt mean that you export everything to outside. The customers who believed in KTM/Bajaj & booked there bikes even before having a physical look at the bike, this is not a fair game played by Bajaj..

As if frustrations were not enough, some goof up happened at KTM BTM.

They delivered two bikes so far and first bike was rightly delivered to @Abhiman who was #1 in queue. 2nd bike was delivered to some *** who jumped up the queue unfairly and the actual #2 is pushed to #3 and I'm pushed to #4. KTM BTM is now blatantly lying that I'm #4 as per the bill and I came to know all about this only when #2 contacted me in XBHP thinking that I jumped the queue and took the 2nd bike [Unfortunately, the guy who took 2nd bike also had part of my first name.]. I'm very sure about these numbers because we were all present at the showroom when they opened the booking.

As per the general news, all the KTm dealers [atleast in Bangalore] got few bikes [ranging from 3 to 6] and KTM Mekhri circle is the one who has delivered it rightly..I guess...I should have booked it there... :-(

I'm not doing any more business with KTM BTM...

Things are getting more interesting as waiting goes by...[sarcastic]

Meanwhile I would like to share some interesting discussion going on here https://www.facebook.com/groups/366597573465980/ regarding the heating/starting/stalling issues faced by the lucky few Mumbaikars who got their D390s delivered !

Yes, this is how corruption starts. Create a demand supply gap and the middle men will follow to fill in that gap by taking bribe. The company should make sure that its customers are not taken for a ride by logging every booking with a numbering system and ensuring it gets to the rightful owner in the order booked.

KTM mekhri circle has delivered 5 bikes from which 1 was the display bike. according to the salesperson the next lot will be a big one and will clear most of the bookings which were made in the first week, so I guess even KTM BTM would receive the bikes and he was pretty sure it would be before 25th September or earlier..

What if these dealers decide to sell their 1/3 or 2/3 of the lot for more profit [for who want to jump the queue or new booking] and leave us in the queue without a bike for longer time? How can we prevent this from happening? ... Booking agreement says that is is "minimum 90 days" and dealers can use it for their advantage....

I doubt it can happen in your case, because your booking is in the top5, the waiting is very short going to end people who book it now will also get the bike next month end.
