Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Ridden and Reviewed
BTW pulsar 220 and ZMR owners can upgrade too, these motorcycles are getting far behind on technology. I own a 5 year old ZMR and really want to upgrade, but nothing matches the comfort level while commuting/touring on a ZMR. Besides, I am 6'3" and ZMR feels too relaxed.Originally posted by princesirohi View Post
if you ride anything less than 200 CC and are planning to upgrade, this is an excellent "do it all" bike.

Well first you bring the bike and create a thirst or curiosity in us then you delay. What man bajaj always does this when they have a good product in hand. Or they want to test some vehicles for some time when they are 100% sure then its like a boom in the market but generally the interest finishes as a new product of a different company brings out in the market. Correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Ridden and Reviewed
I have gone to sai service bajaj (andheri), i had booked the bike on 29th of march and i am still waiting today(27-4-2015) I have phoned them and asked about how much longer will i have to wait for the bike to be delivered to me,they have said it would take around 2 weeks more(@_@). So the waiting period part is true (1-2months) . The cost is 1 lakh 54 thousand (154000rs ) for the Abs variant .Although if you deduct the booking cost it becomes somewhere around 149k. I found the colour options to be lacking or in simple words SUCK. The yellow colour looks much better in photos than in reality(i booked yellow)(girls seem to prefer yellow while most guys including myself prefer red) The red paint is metallic in nature and looks better in reality but not so much in photos while the yellow paint looks like a cheap lackluster paint but looks good in photos .I have asked the bajaj people at sai service if you could get it repainted ,they said you can but it voids the colour warranty and that they do not do any other colours except these 2 and a colour change from yellow to red or viceversa would cost somewhere between 8-12k . She was also kind enough to mention that they have never done this till now and no1 knows how to do it on the rs ,as till date no1 has tried to change colors on the rs(since you need to remove the fairing and they dont know how to do that ). I enquired about the 400 ss or rs whatever its called now ,she said most likely it will take around a year or year and half for it to come . This is my first Motorbike and i dont know how to yet drive a motorcycle so any tips or tricks will be welcome and also which safety/anti theft gear do i have to install on the bike as the pulsar 200rs has no such protection. Any other advice also which i will give me a heads up is also welcome .I hope this answered the above persons questions.Originally posted by rishii View PostI went to a sub dealer last week that dealer is in Koperkhairne ( Navimumbai) told me 200 RS has waiting for 2 months is this true ??? In case if you need in a day delivery we can arrange it but the ON road cost will be 1.60 lakhs for ABS version .One of my fried checked with Authorised dealer in Thane ( Shreeram Bajaj ) even they told waiting period is of 25 days . Cost of ABS in Shreeram Bajaj Thane is 1.54 lakhs on road .
I cannot find any dealers in Navi Mumbai expect Raigad Bajaj ( Panvel ) . When can we expect black colour to be available ???

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Ridden and Reviewed
I know comparing these two bikes is like chalk and cheese. But as they lie in the same price bracket, which would be a better buy for me- RS 200 or Duke 200?
I have a daily run of 40kms, 50-50 on highway and city. And I do monthly highway rides. I am 5'7", weighing about 100kgs. I currently own pulsar 180. Pillion would be there, but not for a long duration.
The bike should be 'peppy' in the city and should be able to cruise at 100kmph on highway as well, and a good cornering machine.

I am 5.6 (168 cm). Both my legs touches the ground easily. I found the bike small.Originally posted by sambit View PostThats my younger brother with his new ride. He measures 5.6 only. His both legs barely touches the ground. I guess the bike looks too big for a 200cc.
Sorry for discouraging you on this. RS have a shorter wheelbase. this means there are probable chassis geometry difference. You will have to weld in some fairing brackets etc. you will end up having a heavier, slower, vibrating bike. Why spoil your nice bike. If you really wanna have RS, trade in NS and get an RS. Just my 2 cents. And I forgot. Gas tank on RS have 1 ltr more capacity . so yes a different tank.Originally posted by abilan View PostHow much will the fairing cost including headlight and speedo console?planning to buy and fit on ns..is it possible..?cause the petrol tank design also looks different in rs..

I found duke 200 have a very light front end on highways above 90. not a great highway bike. Again duke don't have good pillion comfort.
Now for a 100 kg rider RS 200 is already a heavy bike. After the added 20kg I felt the bike a bit slow to get going. Now adding a pillion This bike will struggle.
It will be nice idea to invest on a bigger bike.
However if bike being sluggish is not a problem, I will recommend RS over duke for its better straight line stability and aerodynamics.Last edited by kochumvk; 05-03-2015, 02:03 AM.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Ridden and Reviewed
I dont need a top end. What I need is that at 100, there should be minimal vibes. I have p180 now, and any speed above 90, the bike vibes a lot. Hence the comparisonOriginally posted by kochumvk View PostI am 5.6 (168 cm). Both my legs touches the ground easily. I found the bike small.
