Excellent First ride report. First in class to provide all the three things which the customers mainly look for :
1. Fuel Injection
2. Dual channel abs
3. Optional High quality tyres.

As of now,
1. FI - Not available yet. Will add 10-12k to the carb'ed version.
2. Dual Channel ABS - Work in progress. Not available yet. Not sure how much extra it would cost.
3. Pirelli Sport Demon - As you said, they are a good option at an extra cost. Maybe 8-10k.
I presume a 18-25k difference between TVS tires CV model and Pirelli tired ABS equipped Fi model.
But at least, some company came up with an offering that ticks most boxes.
Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!
Prices for all the 3 variants are available
Base - 89k
Base + FI - 1.07lac
Base + FI + ABS - 1.15lac
Although for sell only base variant is available
Ah, my bad! I missed seeing the price chart. And hey, I wasn't off the mark by much!
Expect to see the ABS+FI+PSD version soon, at a dealership that is!

No issues. And yes, an Indian Manufacturer doing all that is really great.
If it's not mentioned anywhere, the RTR 200 WEIGHS 140kgs DRY and 148kgs with FULL TANK FUEL. I can upload the pics of the same if needed for proof.
Thanks
Glad to see TVS coming up with an answer to the competition. With RTR 200, TVS has tried to cater to a large audience than just pleasing the purists. It ticks all the right boxes and being a street naked, the prime usage would be in the city for commuting. I personally liked the design and being an rtr it would surely add to the fun while commuting and be reliable on long tours as well. The option to buy what fits our budget n requirement is definitely a good move from TVS ( tyres, FI, Carb, ABS). Pillion seat and better low end torque are the other positives.
And thank you Xbhp for the quick ride report, probably the 1st.

Typical old racer - you wobble when you walk, not when you ride
Is the fuel tank metal or plastic?
Is the lighting setup AC or DC?
Which bike would you rank it closest to in the term of ERGOs. Is it comfy like the zma, slightly sporty like the P220/NS200, very aggressive like the RTR/R15?
What are the primary intentions of this bike? The 180 was built around a racetrack (and then sold with TVS tyres ).

Where do the intentions of this lie?
The fuel tank is a 3 piece plastic covering.
Lighting must be DC cuz there is an always on Pilot lamp.
OT: Just confirmed with the local TVS dealer that the bike will be available by April for tier1 cities and later on for the rest. Now why would one launch a bike now and start deliveries after 3 months?
I believe they are not targeting the 200cc+ commuter/touring, They are just trying to convert the 150cc commuter segment riders to opt for this with a better package.
