The bikes looks nice. But the power figure is not as expected.

It would be interesting to see how it fares against the RTR-Fi.

      Nice pics & report Sunny

I checked out the FZ16 on Saturday:

      - Looks Big & bulky

      - The tires look awesome

      - Console is high tech but very small & has weird colors, the digits are in orange color & sports odo, speedo, & tacho. No clock

      - The tank that you see is actually all plastic(no macho feel) & the
bike is very light the handly bar is like the RX100 quite plane jane.

      - Once you are on bike it feels very plasticky although looks awesome
      otherwise

      - The pillion seat is a joke & with its height might not be very practical

      - Has Mono Shock suspension at rear

      - The tail lamp is from 2 decades back.

      - There is no fairing but just the headlamp & its just too naked, I
know many would like that but from the rider's seat it feels odd
especially since the speedo is so small.

      - Price OTR in Pune is 73xxx & RTR FI is 77xxx & P200 is 75xxx

      - Mileage expected is 40-42kpl

      - From what I have heard the low & mid-range is really good & handling
      is best in class

What ?? Ordinary 150cc engine and just 42 kmpl ? I mean I don't mind less mileage but then at least the power needs to improve.

I thought this bike would be at least 160cc with at least 15 PS of power (Its called the F160 ! I don't require lots of power unlike most people here (Mumbai roads put me off when I speed !) but 150cc on this bike is too less IMO.

As I understand The R15 is 149.8cc thus the next round off figure is 150. Yamaha doesnt use a "0"(zero) to denote thier bikes as u know already the FZ16 being 153cc thus the next round off figure was 160 which they might have used for the name FZ16. but this is only a guess nothing official

BTW..awsome pics as always..the pics actually make the bike look more agressive than the time i saw it in flesh.

I was a lot into naked styling but the Karizma n now the R15 really changed my interest. FZ 16 is damn good looking-no doubts. n about the price..as the R15 seemed ok for 1.03lakhs..FZ16 seems to be ok for 69K in delhi
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Sunny Bhai's camera makes all the other photos i have seen of the FZ16 look childish. FZ16 looks way better and smarter in these pics. i am very much looking into this bike. waiting for october'08...

Some pix from my side to remind people what it looked like during its very first unveiling at the Expo2008

Now you also know what it looks like with someone sitting on it. Thankfully my pix don't have that ugly number plate in front!

@Sunny-The pictures look very good and all the image justifies the product shoot tag.

                  One small mistake:

The last one should be MT-01.Isn't it?
I had edited that part. Looks like it got overlooked, like some other stuff as well.
