It is just the spirit and a common brotherhood that keeps us intact here, SunilG's words were too much to express what he meant and what accidently happened.
If the posts omitted are on Inder.Cool.. then no one should be bothered et'all.

or we may need to create a script to purge his old posts after a certain count may be 4-5k as Satyen said

On a serious note, almost nothing has been lost thanks to the daily backup that is automatically taken in the RAID setup we had. The hundred posts that are issing primarily from the Mumbai offline thread were not restired by the automated system because they were marked as corrupt (no seriously!).

Also only the poste between approx 12.30 PM and 4.40 PM of yesterday are not there.

    All Iz Well!
Reading this again has made me remember what happened a year or two ago, and again when I read it on YourStory.in!
But again, you are the man behind it, then what's the need to worry.
    Aaal will be Welll..

LOL -- no issues --mumbaikars are a forgiving bunch though I am sure an offline thread posts being deleted are anyday much more acceptable than other threads

Inder in the meantime was franctically increasing his post count on FB

The furore caused ( if I may say so) only goes on to show how much people are "into" xbhp.

May the internet & PC gods always shower only blessings on xbhp

          cheers

Wow! It feels good to back online.. All thanks to efforts from Sunil Ji & Sunny ..!

But, still Mumbai thread is very far behind time i.e the last post that was there was of Spidy preparing for Leh .. Now, observed the reason behind loss in my post count..

@Satyen/NV/DK: Will you all cut it now, nazar mat lagao mere post count ko ...

Wow! I swear on the almighty this is perhaps the ONLY time I have seen Inder address so many people on the same post!

Clearly xBHP has become what the Reliance group is to Sensex of sorts in both the biking parlance and an online community parlance!

Sunil: It takes a lot of courage to admit a mistake to one's own self. And it takes a lot more than 'lot of' to do so publicly. Your error was inadvertent, your regret truly heartfelt and your efforts to redeem the loss were genuine. There's not much room left for an apology there. But since you do insist, please don't repeat either ever again...I mean the error and the apology .

You have been an indelible fixture in xBhp and your contribution to its growth is not just notable but laudable. The education never ends and this incident will no doubt be stashed away somewhere in your psyche, but always hovering close to the edge of awareness. Thanks for being so honest...its a rarity these days and is so very inspiring. Three cheers for xBhp!

Hey Sunil, It was very brave of you to accept the mistake in front the whole community.
there are not many people who take the responsiblity and the ownership of their deeds and actions.

a very good example set by you.

You will find a lot of archives from Google... can they be used for restoration of the Mumbai thread?
