And my all time favorite Matrix Trilogy,X-men and Fast And The Furious. Can't write all those movie. All these above mensioned are fun to watch. You better check rottentomato.com and check movies rating and review and can decide.
I found bold ones(above) better & Shutter Island was more captivating than Inception. Matrix(1999) & Terminator 2 - Judgement Day(1991) were better among the respective series.

Has anybody seen District 9 (2009)?

District-9 has been shown as a documentary type video. I enjoyed it, but many didn't. You should watch it, nice theme and plot.

          Ride safe and have fun.

Yes, that is the beauty of it. Socio-economic problems and human psyche when an alien mining ship breaks down on earth is nicely portrayed.

I enjoyed it totally till the metal rose.

When you know who is right(good) and wrong(evil) from the beginning, you'll have an expectation how it should end. Most of the cinemas won't disappoint you in that regard; and those who do end up fried at the box-office. So, most of the noise in box-office is what we want to see.

When it comes to individuals, it's always about survival; individual takes own approach however despicable/admirable. Heroes have admirable characters & villains are despicable.
When individuals form a group(however large) they need an agenda to pursue and abide by. Stronger group prevails and writes history.

I can say the same to all sci-fi cinemas I missed to watch. Coz, they don't really alter my perceptions by being far from real.

Its depend upon individual. At the end also there is no sense of satisfaction, just questions that baffle the audience.

Do you guys notice when it comes to Hollywood, several cinema of same theme with little different screenplay come out all around same time period?

I guess Hollywood is a major source of plagiarism or something.

Just saw Chronicle (2012), my kinda cinema, 10/10

Tyrannosaur (2011) is another good one.
