  • once while crossing a road i happened to witness this incident:

a man on his brand new dicover was crossing the road on his bike with his wife as pillion and their child

guess this man was a novice or was new to disk brakes

in a bid to slow down his vehicle he jammed in his front disks

and down went the front fork

it literally dived in a good 8-9 cm!!

and sitting on the road were his wife and child

his wife got up by herself lifted the child up

gave a mouthful to her husband (mind you in the middle of the road)

and left walking with her child!!!

and the child was like par papa.................

    • My bloopers:
      1.Scratching my helmetted head,
2.Putting my mobile phone to my helmetted head as if the helmet was absent,
3.Out of nowhere, just for the heck of it, to see the front forks dive, squeezed the front brake-----but too hard to skid to scare the shit outta me.....thankfully didn't fall
4.Hit a speed breaker[a non marked one ofcourse] at 88km/h[as reported by my pillion who happens to be my gf] and wow.......my gf is SUPERGIRL-----------I got to face the music of my lifetime.
5.bounced myself off and lost balance due to speed breaker and a distracted mind. Distraction being the obvious kind.
6.I was riding pillion with a friend on his highly abused p150 classic along the kalyan shill road, all of a sudden, my friend stopped, took a U- turn and rode in the wrong direction in the outermost lane, stopped at a point, asked me to get down and pick something off the road...........to my amazement it was the gearshifter.

Thats a pretty bad goof up.

About 6months back I traveled by public transport. I'm used to taking the bike to office. I Keep my helmet at this specific place in office. Spent half an hour in the evening on this specific evening, complaining to the security guys and searching for the helmet. Later realized that I had come by public transport. Damn!

was coming home from office, it had rained that afternoon so the road was wet.I was wearing only my helmet......
......................... u mean........ bas????? itna hi???
anyway guys, bhopal is one city in india where you can wake up to find all the four wheels of your car stolen, the baby resting on load of bricks etc.
one such navratri night of bhopal, it must be 2-3 am, really really late by then sleepy city z standard. i met a friend of mine. he was pushing his dead splendor.
i asked him what happened... he told me he parked the bike in parking and went to the garbaa sthal to return in few hours only to find his new splendor lying on groud in dust and dirt, her battery stolen.
i asked what else was stolen?? petrol etc?? none!! only battery.
i asked him where are the keys, they were in the ignition. dead ignition.
i turned on the fuel cock. switched on the dead ignition. kick started the bike........ and like all splendors.. it started in one kick!!!!
hehehe i asked my amazed and sweaty neighbour how long he d been pushing the bike??.... nearly 7 kms in the dead of the night.
and that reminds me, almost every newyear that is 31st december night... while riding around town, i invariably spot few such poor souls pushing around their steeds in the middle of the night.
i never forget to look at their expressions......... after i loudly wish them a happy new year while zooming past them!!!
and my father in law actually found his scooty parked in a nearby colony market, dust laden and deserted but safe, while he was leaving for police station to lodge a complaint. she was missing for past 7 days.
apparently he went to market near home, left the scooty parked and got back home on foot, and left out of station before returning to find her safe after full 7 days.

                      1. On my friend's Marvel on a Sunday morning: Funnily the right side of the front tyre was worn out&I was cornering with my friend sitting behind. Suddenly we reached a newly laid road&the bike skidded. Only a few scratches to me&the bike, but my pyjama was torn. Picked up the bike&next moment I see my neighbors (2 girls) waving at me. They didn't see the bike fall, but they were wondering why I was wearing torn pyjamas!

                      2. On my friend's Samurai, again Sunday morning: I had to answer the nature's call, so entered into a one-way to be stopped by a cop. He left me fortunately, understanding the urgency of the situation!

                      3. My 3 day old Fiero F2: Since I was used to my Kinetic with both the brakes near the hands, I passed a bus stop&suddenly a kid jumped out of the bus. I jammed the clutch&the disc. Bike fell down&people were wondering why it happened! No damage except for a bent footrest.

                      4. Rainy day, Fiero F2: I wanted to avoid a speedbreaker, so went off the road. Unfortunately bike skidded&I put my foot down to stop it, but my chappal gave way. Had to leave the bike to fall.

                      5. This is a funny one-happened with my friend on his RX100. He had grown a beard for about 2-3 months&was very proud of it. He was checking the fuel level by opening the tank cap&lighting a cigarette at the same time. Since the tank was almost full, it flared up, giving him a natural shave, one patch of his majestic beard was burnt off completely! He headed straight towards a saloon!
The RX scene was hilarious man.. Made me remember something.. Heres mine..

I got a Rx135 4 speed as my first bike in my 11th.. ( i know sounds too good, but got sold off in 3 months time.) First bike, fast bike.. Typical adrenaline rush, me and my friend on his chetak were roaming around doing bird watching . Then suddenly i remembered theres a nice curve in the road ahead and i got the rush to get my knee down. What was to happen was completely surprising. So as i remembered i hit the throttle hard and sped off to glory feeling like god and nothing can come in my way. Out of nowhere suddenly kid with his cycle came in between the road just as i was about to get my knee down and i was startled. I managed to control my bike and got back to normal angle a jammed the brakes, saw the cycle coming close shouted "oh shooooooot!" and wham!!!! I was standing in between of the road, the cycle broken in two parts on either side of my bike and the kid crying on the footpath as he jumped off his cycle just he saw me speeding.! Lol had 2 pay for the cycle repairs completely and somehow managed to not let my parents know about it.. Lolz..

Second one what happened was completely funny.. Was on the highway alone RIDING lolz.. I was goin full throttle on my RX going zig zag through the traffic having fun.. Suddenly i cut a car at high speed and suddenly that car seemed very familiar.. I looked in my RVM and shouted GOD DAMMIT SH!T!!! it was my dads car!!! Later that night it was a complete scene at home and the next day when i went down to take out my bike i couldnt find the keys nor the bike in the parking lot.!!

Lol.. Even today when me n dad remember it we burst out laughing...
A fact -- It takes more love to share the pillion seat, than to share the bed.

                      • i've also got the common riding with the fuel tap OFF ( did it a lot wen i got my FZ ) and tryin to scratch my head with the helmet ON ,

                        Got a couple more ...

Back in 06 in 1st PU used to take my mom's activa to coll , we were on our way to a football match , i took my activa on full clip out of the parking lot ( like the showoff that i was ) and just as i was climbing the ramp to the exit , the bike sputtered to a stop ! i was like arghhh !!! crap , i'm out of fuel , girls were laughing , one even asked if i needed a lift to get fuel would have taken that offer , but i then saw the cause of my problem , the darn choke was ON , sheepishly admitted that the choke was ON and then started and took off without turning back .

Another one was on the Activa again , Had to pick up my mom from office , standing at MG road signal , Ipod on full blast , was so immersed in the song that i didn't realize that the light had turned GREEN , i was wondering , "DAMN , people are in a hurry today , jumping the light left , right and centre !!! " only then i looked up to see the light , just as i took off , it switched to RED again !!!
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

                        • Underage Riding passion!

Nicky&his Dad's car reminds me of this: Once in school (class 9), we managed to get our hands on a friend's elder sister's Kinetic Honda. Thrilled, we were painting the streets red-3 of us on the same bike. Then suddenly both my friends said: We're done for-your Mom&Grandpa are in an auto beside us&they have seen us. I didn't believe them&was inching ahead to see. This made me butt into the bike in front of us. He stopped us on the side&started scolding us for riding triples, underage riding etc. Luckily my Mom&Grandpa had seen that&stopped their auto. They came&apologized to him&took us from there.
We all laugh about it to this date!

Jumped from the sidewalk of a park on to the main road. The bike stalled. A on coming town bus kissed my back side and I was in hospital for a few weeks.

I was standing bravely in front of my bike sworn to protect it. You guessed it. One of the bull came charging and I so valiantly showed my backside thinking that it will cushion the impact.
