The bike that will give shivers to even the most seasoned riders (even in stock condition, can't imagine the power after getting her fully ported ). But she just ignores the bike of that stature and cult.

According to her, a man looks like a man on a bike, when he sits upright with his chest front wide open straight, rather than crouching position on SUPERBIKES.

Well, it doesn't matter to me that much, as I am an earning man and will buy KTM with my money anyhow (thank GOD for that). I just want her opinion, nothing else. But she did get me embarassed on that day in front of KTM guys looking at us. Her expressions after looking at RC-390 were like, she had seen a garbage dump.
I never went in front of that showroom again.

And I did show her TNT 300, she did not like the higher tank position on that bike either. For her, its either a royal enfield bullet or nothing else.

    Cheers........
Guess i must be really lucky then, back when i had considered Enfield as an option to buy and showed my Mom the Cl-350, she had responded. "Hamare zamane me doodhwala yehi chalake doodh bechta tha"
It's a lot like nuts and bolts - if the rider's nuts, the ride - bolts!

      hi brother,

That's true. There was a time, when royal enfield was almost down to the dumps and was losing sales badly, but their newly appointed CEO siddarth lal , the son of the owner of royal enfield changed their fortunes big time. They hired designers from Italy and U.K ; revamped all their showrooms around the country, introduced new models and now, their sales are the biggest as comparing to any other brand.

By the way, did you buy CL-350 ?

Nope mate, that comment from my mom kinda made me lose interest, then after seeing my friends facing so many issues with their REs not to mention the Fanboyism they do (according to them every other bike in the world is crap except RE for no particular reason) I completely lost interest.
Never want to join the fanboyism of the RE.

          hi brother,

You are absoleutly right. Even I have never understood this fanboyism about RE bikes. Its a very good looking bike, no doubt. But treating every other bike
like a shit is really bad. I even tried to persuade some people (including my mom), that RE is not the all-and-end of biking world, but, somehow, they never listen and are way too tangled in their own mentality and beliefs. Their rude and inconsiderate behavior are giving such a bad reputation to other good RE owners, who are sensible and understand the pros and cons of RE bikes and are ready to accept and rectify them.

Does newer models of RE have better reliablity ?

Phew!!!! Looking at all the posts and comments I can compare it my own self how. My wife doesn't hate bikes but as many women she doesn't like speeding on the bike. I get so frustrated when she starts telling me how to ride. I don't know how she fell in love with my RTR. More than me, she was upset when it was sold. She is not happy with the Karizma R I bought. She feels its not as safe as the Rtr reason we have fallen 3 times on the Karizma in 3 months and not once with the Rtr in 6 years. Well, one can't agrue with the wife when she is in the mood to fight. You will never realise when the conversation will turn into argument and then a fight of magnitude equalled only in terms of earthquake or a tsunami. Good read you fellows out there.
Everybody has their own version of TRUTH!!!!!!
