Thanks for clarifying. Most US based companies offer this service under International warranty. Good that they acknowledged it for replacement. I'm more concerned when the product is out of warranty as how they deal with service.

Suddenly after sometime, the USB port started giving problem. Which was not charging...

Then sent an email to the gopro support regarding my problem. Exchanged some mails regarding trouble shooting and tips. Finally nothing worked.

After every unsuccessful attempt, finally I asked them that I live in India, but we don't have any service centre here.

They replied saying that not to worry we will replace your camera. And sent me RMA. Label

Now I Have sent my camera to them for free of cost, which is in Singapore.

And yesterday received a mail saying that I will receiving the new camera in next 3 to 5 working days...
That's good. Hope you will receive it soon. I asked because it's nowhere specified in amazon.in about service or in their web(i hope so)

        Thanks.

And I am not sure about the Amazon, but you can have a chat with gopro support, they have very good and quick response.

SJ cam series. You can check the different between this and gopro hero. Cost difference will be around 3-4k. Gopro is about 12.5k. The fish eye view of gopro is great. Otherwise both are same. Sjcam series cant be guaranteed as there r many local makes....on ebay

Was looking at the price differences of GoPro Hero 4 Black on Amazon US vs Amazon India/Flipkart. Here it is 33% more expensive (500 USD/33K vs 43K in India). Why is it so expensive? Also, the price difference seems to be around 10K for any of their products. We get fleeced on everything...

That's one more collection. 120fps at 480p seems a good feature but nevertheless the cost is still sky high

                              Action camera and helmet mount

Hi. I live in Bangalore. I own RTR 160 HE refresh (Dec 2010). My helmet for now is Steelbird Bieffe SB1.
I need suggestions to buy a cheap action camera. I mainly need it to take photographs. On my recent trip to Wayanad I thoroughly missed the gadget as I came across breathtaking views one after another in TN tea estates.
I have looked at some and find Polaroid Cube to be good enough for my needs and fits my pocket. Anything cheaper than 8100 INR with good photography features?

I am a noob at action cameras, I cant understand how taking pics works. Is it an auto mode where one pic is clicked every, say, 30 secs? Or do I have to manually press the button on the cam to take the pic? Isn't clicking the button everytime unsafe?

                              TIA

                              Madhav
