Thanks, while I use it for capturing my rides on bike mount only, 720p is more than enough, consumes less power, less upload time and decent video. I think the internal mic is sufficient. How about charging?. 60 minutes is too less. Can we charge through power bank and continue recording?. Also heard about SJ4000 available for 7K. But don't know about quality and wide angle

    How about this model SJ4000??

On the go charge, I need to ask my friend about that.

I use SJ4000 non wifi, videos can be seen here www.youtube.com/user/prateek2210. Does the job easily, I am more into value for money things, no doubt gopro's color rendering is far better than others.
Above sj is fake, sjcam would be written under the lens in original.

Thanks, I will check out your video link tonight. Meanwhile can you share the link of the camera which you are using currently?, if available from online, link a well?. Thanks.
Also let me know if that can be done. Because 60 minutes is far less when we go out for hours of ride times. Thanks. Also please make sure the record length is limited to 20 minutes or upto the battery\storage space left.

If not GoGPRO hero, I'm thinking about this SJ4000, I don't need a Wifi though. In your camera are you getting that superview or wide angle like in gopro?.

        Thanks again

          Hello All,

I want to buy a SJCAM4000 wifi. I want to know the answers to the below questions :

          1. Is it original ? (I know this has been answered many times, ......
Hi buddy, even i am on the lookout for an SJCAM and am not much inclined on buying it online. As per my research:
I found out that there is a dealer of SJCAM in Mumbai, here is the Facebook link of the same: SJ4000 India. They have a phone number as well in their about page which would help you in physically going (as you are from Mumbai) and checking for the genuinity. They quoted a price of Rs. 9,200/- for SJ4000 (non wifi).

Another dealer in New Delhi which quoted a price of Rs. 8,000/- for SJ4000 wifi. Here is their Facebook link SBK Action.

There is one more dealer in Kannur, Kerala, but they are out of stock for a long time now. They had quoted a price of Rs. 7,800/- for SJ4000 wifi. Here is their Facebook link Videolinkonline.

If you haven't already checked the above listed dealers then you can do it now as per your convenience. As for me, i have plans to go to New Delhi in the coming months, and will probably give a visit to the dealer there.

          Regards,

What about those on ebay. Any clue?. Spending that much for a duplicate product is not fair [emoji20]

Get it from Anish (Video Link)

@jbm_guy : My seller is no more active on ebay, I bought SJ more than a year back.
No SJ doesnt have any wide angle view but 170degree view is enough to capture everything

170 degree itself is considered wide angle view....

                  Re: Action Cameras for Bikers

Clearing some misconceptions on GoPro...All my explanations are based on Hero 3+ Silver edition, tried, tested & abused
                  - 178 degree is widest angle in GoPro
                  - Charging time is about 2 hours for 1180mAh battery from direct power socket having 5Ah output; 2Ah output from powerbank takes about 2 hours...surprising!!
                  - 30 FPS, Full HD takes 21 MB for 10 seconds clipping
                  - 30 FPS, Half HD takes 20 MB MB for 10 seconds clipping
                  - You'll not need a CLASS 10 MicroSD even for shooting 60FPS Full HD; 120 FPS...may be yes, but still, I haven't had any issues so far
                  - Just get a 64 GB MicroSD & that's all you'll need

Being costlier is justified if it has good quality (which is yes) but no service???

Gopro have service, they don't repair the camera.
                          They just replace it...

I had recently brought my gopro hero 3+ black edition from USA, which was brought by my brother from eBay in USA .

It worked wonderful for more than 4 months, as I using it for different purpose like drone and for my motorcycle.

Suddenly after sometime, the USB port started giving problem. Which was not charging...

Then sent an email to the gopro support regarding my problem. Exchanged some mails regarding trouble shooting and tips. Finally nothing worked.

After every unsuccessful attempt, finally I asked them that I live in India, but we don't have any service centre here.

They replied saying that not to worry we will replace your camera. And sent me RMA. Label

Now I Have sent my camera to them for free of cost, which is in Singapore.

And yesterday received a mail saying that I will receiving the new camera in next 3 to 5 working days...

I assume your GoPro is under warranty. The "recently" here means less than a year, right?
