when I had to claim insurance I sat at the police station for 4 hours to no avail. Then I got pissed off and got them belted by my lawyer. Obviously this didn't give me the FIR but gave me immense satisfaction. I go two days later with a contact and I immediately get a backdated acknowledgement (enough for a insurance claim on accident).

Now you cannot get a backdated FIR at any cost as it is a legal document. If you go two days later you will get one of that date itself. So try to find a contact or you allow the insurance company to have a legal loophole. But on the bright side the insurance company may not bother you too much with documentation.

        Sad and shocking.

If it helps, my friends black P200 (6 months old) was stolen in October in Bangalore. The cops did recover it, though this was in December. There was no apparent damage to the bike and the engine was also ok.

So sad and unfortunate Aryan bhai!
Don't panic. Just get through with the legal procedures. Drive the cops mad asking them to do their best regarding your bike. Hope you get your P200 back soon!! All the best bhai.
            Cheers!
