P.S: What exactly is that "white socket"?
beats us...but I think it must be the switch interface with the lock set that controls the various key positions and their electrical interfaces.

On the safety front, One of the options that I would try is to park the bike in some private parking or in a large colony/society where they have security...for this I am also ready to pay rent Better than the agony of seeing your precious vanish and the anguish+pain in the aftermath.

@Niranjan: You and I think so alike. Even I am ready to pay rent and stuff if I get a proper, safe parking. Seriously.

You are a lucky man. This is shocking but it ended well. Do let us know how you finally secure it from now on.

Yes aptly put in words RX - if they WANT, they sure can! I went there last morning to lodge the complaint, and they were not really enthusiastic about my being there. I sat there and kept sitting there till the time they listened to me!

At one point of time I bluntly said - "I won't budge, you kill me and take my dead-body out!"

            I was absolutely pissed off...

There is a reason why they straight away don't lodge an FIR I believe as they would first try to locate the bike. Why so?? Just to keep the no. of FIR less. Now, as they have recovered it, they will file an FIR & also claim to solve it!!

Its not about Delhi police alone Aryan. Its the same case with all the states. Once around 2 lakhs got stolen from my dad's office. When he tried to contact the police and stuff there was no response. He waited till afternoon for the police to turn up for finger-prints etc but to no avail. Finally we put some pressure on them from the CM's office and guess what the DSP turns up in 30 mins and the money is recovered by the next day. Culprit was none other than our driver. So the police have the capability but they are too damn lazy and want bribes for everything!!!

@Apar: Yes, they surely can do if they want to. But they don't want to move their arse without anything getting into their pockets! Anyhow, I just hope that my bike gets back to it's previous shape. Once I do get to actually ride her, I would get to know about the handling part. My fingers are crossed.
