these kind of security system is also good for nothing in my opinion and after sometime they start giving problems.so in my opinion stay away from these system and use DESI jugaad only.

That alarm from autocop does interfere with the electricals. I think you know what happened to my bike when I had installed the alarm after the attempted theft. Finally I had to disengage my alarm and get it removed altogether. I had brought this to the notice of the Bajaj officials in one of the meetings with them. They were supposed to bring in with a "ready to install autocop" electricals in the later models. I am not sure if they have done it. Be careful with what you install electrically.

This is precisely why I really don't want to install anything which has got to do with 'tampering' with the electricals. I guess, at this time my options are getting the disc lock installed and ofcourse tie the 'beast' with a chain each night religiously before I call it a day!

          • Aryan, bro.. Whoa whoa and whoa.

I read through all the pages and my God, dude you need a vacation with tons of people who care about you. Something like that should nullify all the emotional ordeal you've been through. God bless dude.

Yeah, thats the best u can do now. A friend of mine is having a similar problem. He parks his new RTR outside his home. I asked him what he does to secure the bike. He does something additional and unheard of. Everynight before leaving, he removes the fuses and battery terminals, ties the chains and puts a disc lock. Any person who removes the chains and the disc lock is not bound to notice the absence of batteries and fuse and will sure be left fumbling in the dark. These things will leave u with problems if ur in a hurry but do add to the safety of the vehicle.

                  • @Apar: Removing the fuses and battery terminals is ofcourse going that one step extra to secure your vehicle, but for someone like me who needs to go to work early morning, and returns late, it kind of becomes a pain! But then again, it is the security of our vehicle that we are talking here. And also, it is worthwhile to note that your friend does it each night, religiously which in itself is praiseworthy!

Come and talk to them! They bluntly said the amount. It's more like I was 'buying' back my machine from them!

                          • Hmmm...at least you got the bike back.I am sure those 2800 bucks would have felt like paying nothing after the pain you went through and it's actually quite cheap to retreive a bike, especially in India where tracking 2 wheelers is almost impossible!!
