no Aryan da i m not any expert, but have some knowledge about this.Already my pulsar's handle lock broken/tampered 4 times in 2 years for the theft purpose. In my area also 2 discover bikes got stolen on Saturday night.
To protect ur bike from Thief's u can take this precaution's.

    1.Chain locks in the wheel.
    2.front wheel lock.
3.Secret ignition switch under the tank.
4.remove Spark Plug from the engine but it is a headache for daily user.
5.petrol T lock,by this u can maximize the time for thief to steal ur bike.he will have to brake many locks to run ur bike.
6.GOOD security lock, but i find this safety equipment also useless.
7.park ur bike too close any big vehicle which is blocking ur bike's way out.this what i do if i have other person's bike with me for any use.
    for more.............let me think.

@Chintu: Thanks for that prompt and helpful reply. For me atleast you are an expert. Chain lock and front wheel lock, I'll get done in a day or two (work sucks!)..As for petrol T lock, that would also be taken care of.

That is really a logical thing to do for someone like me who does not have the luxury of my own private parking space.

              Nice suggestions there c_sbk Sir,
Aryan like JB suggested you can get an alarm thing installed. We all know these things can just avert but cant guarantee anything, but surely make sense.

PS: Main to kehta hoon Bhains baandhne ki chain le aa, aur ek bada sa khunta gaad de parking space ke bagal main. Chain your Bhains oh sorry I mean Beast
I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
Ride often, ride well, have fun.

I have already got a couple of chains and tied the 'beast'!

Yes, nothing will 'guarantee' anything, but atleast we can try to be safe. I am a little skeptical about that alarm thingy. I hope it does not mess up with the electricals or anything. Anyhow, I will get that installed as well. I won't leave anything to 'chance' henceforth.

                  • Thanks majorly to Bandhav, just got a call from a PBK service station. They would be sending someone over to pick the bike and bring it to the PBK and give it a thorough check.

My fingers are crossed. Hopefully, by this evening the P-200 would be up and running. I really do hope so. The extent of other damages (apart from the lockset) if any would be evident only in the evening.
                    :)

Yes Archi, so many things happened within a span of 24 hours! Yes, I did get her back but the actual damages would come into light by this evening (most probably).

P.S: Thanks for the phone call.

Yes, I did check out the Auto Cop alarm system on the net and it does say that it doesn't require tampering with the wiring system of the machine. I'll probably get one installed by this weekend. Good to see people thinking about getting every kind of locks installed in their machines.
