I am planning to buy the Nikon L110. I am poor at camera selection and this is my initial foray into good cameras. All this time I have been using el-cheapo P&S cams.
What is the general feedback about this camera and has anyone personally used it before?
Appreciate any info.

Guys, Those of you are waiting for a super-zoom camera with full-blown manual controls all in one compact form, then your wait is over. Canon has just released SX210IS.
14.1 MP, 14x Optical zoom, 28mm Wide Angle lens, HDMI, HD Video with stereo sound recording. A must have for one who is not looking for bulky DSLR/Superzoom yet doesnt want to miss out on zoom/manual controls.
PowerShot SX210 IS Digital Camera
Some of the shots taken from the camera.Has got some nice never-before-seen features in the segment.

guys, this is my first camera buy and have been using camera phones to take all my picks.. i click a lot of picks including a fair amount of macro shots..
prority -
1.image clarity - colour reproduction should be excellent with good sharpness and contrast
2.the camera should not be sluggish - main reason why did not buy a didgi cam till now as i had irritating expiriences with digi cams some years ago
3.decent macro capabilities
4.HD vid recording
5.wide angle - i'm doubtful abt this as i understand partly why this is imp,but which is the best bet out there (28mm/26mm/25mm ??)
the cams i narrowed it down to are -
Sony h55,Sony WX1,Sony W360, Canon ixus 120is/130
any other model in that price range is welcome.. ( fujifilm jz300 ?? )
my doubts -
h55 and WX! have sony g lens with bionz but w360 has carl ziess with bionz and WX1 has EXMOR Cmos sensor where as the other 2 have super HAD ccd
http://www.sony.co.in/...odels=DSC-W360&models=DSC-WX1&models=DSC-H55
Wat are good and bad abt these things among sony ??
also i read somewhere that the canon has some lag between taking photos with flash..is it sluggish ??
i saw that the Sony H20 is all camera i need untill i've seen it's a 38mm ..
so i dropped it even thogh it is great to look at,2cm macro, good zoom with HD vid recording.. if at all i had to take the H20,wat will i loose with the 38mm over the other 26 ~ 24mm lenses ?? i intend to take all photos in 16:9 format.. i always wanted to capture the way i see things, read that the wide angle lenses have something to do with corners of photos lookin bigger,etc.. wat abt it??RED BULL did'nt give me WINGS, my BIKE did !!

@Dogg: First off, I am interested to know your budget. Going by the kind of list of requirements that you have, a D-SLR would suit your requirement just fine! As for the wide-angle "problems" you mentioned, it is called 'distortion' and is an inherent "feature" of wide angle lenses (wide angle photographs). I say "feature" because it is subjective; a few people love it, while others don't.:)

dpreview's travel zoom test. Surprisingly, Casio and Samsung won the accolades. DOGG, you can pick one from these. 24 mm is the wide angle and will be useful in indoors and landscapes.

This camera is excellent for travel zoom series however its flash pops up whenever you switch it on which will come in the way where you hold the camera which is the only thing annoying about this cameraOriginally posted by chicane1879 View PostGuys, Those of you are waiting for a super-zoom camera with full-blown manual controls all in one compact form, then your wait is over. @aryan,ravi - ppl who have seen wat i had done with my af cybershot phones tell that i have talent.i am not boastin or any thing,i'm sayin that yes a dslr with a manual focus ring will be of great help to me (and i've been wantin one
),but the cam is being bought with my pocket money.. as of now the budget is arnd 10 ~ 14k,but i have seen a cam yesterday and all the features were good exept the macro and only 180 shots - fujifilm fx 200 - 7.2k.. wat i mean to say is that i need a decent cam with some capabilities.. i have also seen the sony TX-1 and it had the answer to my probs - touch focus, focus where ever u want with out actually pointing the lens towards the subject, also had 1cm macro
- but 2 things
1.17.8k
2.35mm
i think u guys got it ? i am not in the megapixel game or good is new or even the 1 million zoom in the p&s thing.. something like the ixus 120is will do but since i read some where it has lag between flash shots,rethinkin..Last edited by Dogg; 06-18-2010, 10:46 PM.RED BULL did'nt give me WINGS, my BIKE did !!
