  • [Photo Feature]: New engine oil from bajaj and hp

Guys its very good news for those who searching 20w50 type oil (castrol, mak, motul whatever) .
Today i saw a sample of new api sj +jaso ma2 grade 20 w50 from bajaj (tied up with hp).
Now no need to search engine oil for pulsar 200cc, 220cc and 180cc.

Most impressive thing is they guarantee that it works up to 5000km.

    I missed to snap it.
I will go again there and snap it and upload it.

Bajaj 10,000 dts-i is good for nothing, not good oil it makes engine rough and looks like brunet engine oil, Instead use Motul its good for everything.

          Any idea about the pricing?
          Is it mineral/semi-synth/fully synth??
Wonder how well the drain period of 5000km would go.

I have been testing this oil and my personal views are like,

                * yes its no where close to Motul 5100T 15w50
                * Its not mineral neither Full Synth, it felt semi synth
                * Its certainly better than most of the Castrol Offerings (apart from the Power1 Racer)
                * Idle Drain Interval what I have found for P220 is like 1200 to at Max 1500
                * Commuters (Discover / P150 or such) can pull 2k kms
                * In hard and long rides the level drops a lots.. So always had to keep n eye on the level
                * Available in 1150ml pack
                Catch me @ Orkut..

So is this better than the usual mineral oil used at PBKs?
Are they even giving an option of using the old oil?

I have scheduled a bike service this Saturday...

Brother first of all don't write in block letters it means that you are scolding someone on a forum, second thing try to write comment in single post.
How do you know that I'm not using that oil..??....,I am using it is available in Noida (NCR) one of the biggest PBK in NCR and it cost 335Rs not 320Rs may be price differ.Better to use Motul 5100 SS oil.
Its good for nothing did 175km in single day after putting that oil.

and totally agree with Hunky its a SS oil not FS oil,its only good for 150cc bikes
but casrol power one racing is not an FS oil its a doped oil.

                      Well, I really doubt this
Though they have OK OK mileage and great technology, they dont have refinement, new designs and Sustenance of quality.
                      These are very important factors.
The experienced folks out here would definitely vouch for this.
ANyway, its not a topic we should be talking about here and now.
                      Cheers buddy

My tryst with acclaimed Motul 5100 yielded some very mineral-oil-like experiences...

The oil is really nowhere close to what Petronas Sprinta FS and Veedol Super Swift offer at lower prices in Xw40......

Yet to use 300V....but at 800 odd bucks its nothing out of the obvious if it performs well...!

I used the said oil in my 220 in my last service which was a month back. This oil is not fully synthetic. It is semi-symthetic. Price is 250/ltr. Apart from that, I did not find any difference in my bikes performance. Have to try Motul yet, so can't comment on Motul.

@DevilPulsarian: Motul 300V FL has reached almost 900 bucks now man

No no Dont panic, its not something grossly harmful if you use a lower grade oil on your bike....

Though, I was talking about my Pulsar 150 where I mentioned Xw40....

Motul 5100s performance on p220 is no way near the experience of Sprinta & Super swift on my 150.....
