Bike Mod.

Hey Guyz, I recently bought my Fazer. I'd like to do some cosmetic as well as performance mods to the bike. Mods would include full fairing, angel eyes and some cool decals on the front visor.

Since I'm noob to the biking world, I know nothing about performance mods.

Also, I want to know whether full fairing and angel eye mods are legal in Mumbai.

IMO, full fairing will have adverse effect on your engine. Fazer has air-cooled engine. Putting fairing will lead to less cooling of your engine.

Angel eyes, well i once saw a fazer with projectors and angel eyes, and i didn't like it re. However it's IMO.

Fazer is a bike which i consider is the best looking indian bike at present. Keeping it stock is best. Still would wanna know, what colour is your fazer?

Which full fairing you are referring to? Fazer is one of the best looking bike available in India. Don't spoil its looks by adding decals, it looks great if kept as stock. Get a Xbhp logo on the visor that would be better

It should not be a problem unless you change the color of the bike and add FFE.

since your bike is a white Fazer...
what i'd suggest is just paint the forks/grabrail/exhaust black.

as for the "decals" on the windscreen...



you could get something airbrushed on... not a sticker.

most performance mods will void the bike's warranty.

as long as the colour temp isn't whitish/blueish u won't have a problem.

Also I'm looking for a full fairing with mesh in front, which you can see in modded ZMR. The engine heats up in flat 10 minutes. So air can pass through and the engine will stay cool.

@ Prabhakar - I'm referring to fairing as seen in R1 or GT650R. Plus it'll look better than R15 (no offence meant) due to broad tyres.

@ xionite - I can't paint them black as the bike is dual tone color i.e. White and Greyish Silver. Black would look kinda out of the world.

As for the air brushed R15, looks awesome. But sometimes I may have to take it to my office so can't get the same one done. Any help with such painters in Mumbai would be appreciated.

Do you mean that the angel eyes should be yellow like stock headlights? Is it possible to get angel eyes when pilot lights are on and only headlights when headlights are switched on?

The pickup is very sluggish (not suitable for Mumbai traffic). Any performance mods available? Also my Fazer maxs out at 5k RPM.

As far as warranty goes, should I take the 3 years extended warranty for 777 INR. ?

Dude you have white fazer right? Would sure look good if you paint black suggested by xionite.. Dont go for any engine mods as your bike is very new.. Keep it stock atleast for some 6k on the odo..
Regarding the fairing, your concept is quite common. Have seen loads of FZs with r15 fairing, many of them in my college got this mod done. Even 10 days back i have seen a brand new fz not even with registration, got modded with r15 full fairing.. The shop owner said 15k for mod + 75k for bike.. Sure looks good with bigger tyres and the stuff.. But the fairing fits a bit higher side in fz comparing with R15. Go ahead and do the mod if you are ok with cooling issues ..
But IMHO your bike doesn't need it, looks killer in stock

you have a wrong notion buddy, putting fairing will hamper the cooling no matter what type of ventilated fairing you use. Ofcourse fazer with R15 fairing looks great, way better than stock R15, but it will hamper your bike.
