I have been thinking of building a customized seat for my Royal Enfield specifically for touring purpose.

      Goal:-
      1. A Seat which is comfortable for both Rider and Pillion.
      2. Provide good back support for both Rider and Pillion.
      3. Storage space - To store my camera, Lens, tripod and Handy Cam.
      4. Should be easy to install (Remember only for Long Tours)
      5. Should be as light as Possible.
      6. Above all Quality and Safety.
With the above goal in mind I started my pursuit of that perfect touring Seat.

I was looking for images of touring bikes on internet to get some idea as to how these are built and designed.

Came across bikes like Honda Goldwing, Yamaha Tourer etc.
Liked the Honda Goldwing seats and decided to see how these types of seat would look on a Royal Enfield

Bullet 350CC. Decided to get them together and check how this might come out.

Saved few images of Honda Goldwing and Royal Enfield Bullet 350CC. Using MS Excel and MS Paint, I had

managed to cut, copy and paste the Honda Goldwing Seats to Royal Enfield. Though this was not a perfect job

      on alignment but look good.

So here I present my Royal Enfield Tourer

      Regards
      -Ravi

PS:- I'm currently working on design to make this design a reality. If any of you guys are intrested, we can start off a thread to discuss the concept to production.
Can you let me know who dose such seat works in bangalore...
I have taken such images to many seat works shops and no one could help me......

        Saaher:

The headlight's looking good with the fairing removed; gives the bike a mean look from the front. You need some stickers on the bike though. My suggestion would be to use your imagination in creating original designs for the stickers. Try using some 'Tribal Art' (google it for some good ideas) on the tank. Oh yes, Black Matte vinyls should compliment your bike color well. Besides, consider getting yourself an Air-Filter (a KN preferably, if you have the budget) for a meaner rev sound.

I've seen a modded unicorn in a similar color, and although the bike's got some serious modifications done to it, what might interest you most in it might be: 1) Stickering Design, 2) Step-seat (akin to the newer Pulsars), 3) Split Grab Rail (the 'handles behind the seat' in lay man's terms), 4) Engine Cowl and the 5) Black Alloy Wheels (only if you have the budget for them).

Linking the images below (NOTE: These aren't mine and are certainly NOT uploaded by me; I just happened to find them on Google):

I have still not checked it but will let you know as soon as I find somebody here in Bangalore. Lot of people would refuse to do that becuase it is not a regular pattern. Also when you talk to somebody who just want to make money by selling seat he would refuse to do that because this design requires lot of time, plan and execution. Unless and until somebody is interested in exploring new things in seat design they may not agree to work on doing customised seats.

I came to know from Delhi Bull Riders that Kajanchi(DElhi Based Seat Maker) makes these type of seats.

                    Awsome mods mman.
no budget for such intense mods except that antique and practical engine cover
Can i get it anywhere in delhi / ncr region ?
The Automotive batteries are designed to work best in a typical short start-stop fashion.
So to increase the life of your automobile battery, blow the horn and flash the pass light in a quick start stop fashion instead of a conitnuous long horn blow or flash light continuous on!!
And obviously don't stretch the self start far too long.

                      • @ wingrider : Why cant you try the FZ Fairing for your GS....Though there is not much difference between that of R15 and FZ fairings...

FZ is an Half Fairing and will suit bettr for your Bike.....

THough from the above two pics i liked the R15 GS.....

                            GS WITH R15 FRONT

Both look actually cool but here are my opinions and not criticism .
1 . P220 fairing could possibly hinder knee recess and will add a lot more weight to already heavy front .
                            2. An air cooled engine should have flowing air to cool . A full fairing would harm the engine . Again this extra thing would add more weight .

I think the GS in itself is a beautiful bike . Well thats just my opinion .
Hope is a good thing ,
may be the best of things and
no good thing ever dies .

Get busy living or get busy dying .
