  • Whoa! I didn't know people are discussing my bike...

Thanx ninad for doing all the work.

half the decals are missing now.

The headlight is HID and the bike is now converted to full dc with rewinding and ape RR

Rearsets are taken from the P200. Handlebar too from the P200
    RVMs from the 135
Camshaft from the 220F [the one shown in the pic is my 180UG3 camshaft though]
    K&N filter with upjetting.

P220 projectors in a UG3 dome coming up next! very soon...

        • @pawan: i did the P200 rearset job on my bike way back in 2007.
just curious... what did you do to keep the center stand from touching
the road while leaning over / going over speedbumps??

i had to do a few mods to the 'stopper' on the exhaust.

          you?

i'm sure this mod's buggered the handling of the bike. drastically.

this has always been a mod i wanted to do on my bike...
but i've stayed away from it...
coz i didn't want to mess up the handling.

actually it's mainly coz of the aftermarket handlebar that the front end looks lowered... besides the fact that the rear height has increased by about 3-4 inches.

i like the rear number-plate mod.

His first mod on this bike...Also seen here is the latest mod. The 220FI chain sprocket kit. O ring chain and taller sprocket setup.

            Avenger Stator his 2nd mod.

Split grab rail from the 200 [though useless, looks good]

Seat mod that went horribly wrong..according to him...

            Rearsets on a UGIII

            Missing Kickstarter

            200 Handlebar

            CAMSHAFT mod

            Jet comparo and K&N filter

and some more K&N and Autobot designed decals...
Thanks for posting them nin. It might be helpful for others who wish to modify their ug3 pulsars. Direct split seats from P200 would have been better. And also kick start from P135 or CBZ could help from pushing the bike in rare occasions.

I too got it done in 2008 just 4 months after I got my bike. I was not satisfied with the way the footrests were placed in stock. So observed a P200 and ordered the parts rightaway!
The stand still scraps. But only when I have a pillion which I rarely have.

Kickstarter is anyways useless as I maintain my battery in top notch condition. One day my battery died and I push started my bike and took it to the Exide store for a new battery

U have 220's camshaft which will not allow u to have a kicker.
So keep an eye on battery level

iKnow! The kickstarter was gone long before the camshaft came in.

                  • has anyone tried putting the P200/P220 swingarm on their 180UGIII???

would really like to know if there were any "complications".

yup. but the front seat is not a direct fit.

the UGIII frame and the 200/220 frame are different.
and there are these plastic bits under the front seat that get in the way.
                    (had to chop them off)
except for that... it's a simple mod.

ha! true. i took out the kick the day after i bought my bike.

no kick since December 2nd 2006. haven't had any starting problems.

P.S: do you still have the extra P220 camshaft hexbolt with you?

No man. I gave the bolt to a friend who got the same mod done.

I thought pavan had done that before nin posting the details. One of our Xbhp members told me he had seen a pulsar 150 with p200 swing arm n exhaust. Dont know the details though. With the p200/p220 swing arm the tail would really be higher and sexier;-)
Anyone know whether the rear shocks of ug3 and elder pulsars are same?

                          Comment

                          • No I wanted to go for the swing arm. But it would have resulted in even worse handling.

                              nope. they're different.

precisely the reason i've stayed away from the mod.

but now i've decided to try it anyway.

i've bought a P200 swingarm & and rear shock absorbers too.

will give it a shot. if the handling gets affected... i'll switch back.

wonder if i'll have to mod the chain too. hmmmmmm.
