I didnt say that performance upgrade is a child's play for you. I can imagine how diffucult it is. Man I have to do filing and fitting of metal pieces in my college workshop, and by the end of the day I'm totally exhausted! So I can really imagine how diffucult it is for you to develop new methods to soup your bike!

Why dont write to yamaha for developing a better R15 according to ur needs and i think it can save crores of rupees they put into R&D.

You just don't get it, do you? We never said that we are better than Yamaha!!! You seem to be new here, no offense to you, but do take the pains of going through the forum's various threads and seeing what has been discussed till date. All production bikes are based on a set of compromises. Even if Yamaha comes up with a better R15, we will be looking forward to improve upon it.

Just as no matter how improved a Mustang is built by Ford, the hotroders will set about doing their special thing to it. It has created a billion dollar hotroding industry.

If you do take the pains and go through the post, you will note that Joel has never said that he is better than Yamaha. But just so that you know, Joel has just won the National Tuner of the Year award for this year's National Motorcycle Championship. And just so that you know, he won it in the face of factory efforts like TVS Racing and Yamaha.

But, then as I said, most people do not understand the whys, let alone fathoming the hows... so its no skin off our noses... do go ahead a buy something 'better'... we will continue with our efforts, to each his own!!!

not only u but all know that which is better. Popularity of R15 can be checked from Classifieds floating on net 'for sale'. even at xbhp u will find at least 30 such classified.

I appreciate if u people make it best bike from a good bike.

There is nothing like best bike.Yamaha R15 has got lots of potential to deliver and Joel is taking the initiative to extract every drop of juice from this bike. For example Cylinder heads , as manufactured, are usually suboptimal due to design and manufacturing constraints.By Porting the heads provides the finely detailedattention required to bring the engine to the highest level of efficiency.

@Joel: What lights will the ECU be using for Launch control and gear shift indicator? And how do we set the Launch Control RPM? via computer? Or is it pre-set?

^I will set the launch and shift values based on testing. The shift light will be at 10k rpm. The existing LEDs on the dash - overheat and malfunction will blink in a sequence when shift rpm comes by.

ok. convinced. I can convey to my friends abt the ECU. Make it available for online purchase so that persons from remote areas can have it. Secondly, when v google abt R15 ECU, there must be search optimised website so that links are available.
