  • R15 Performance ECU

Its been over a year since we have been developing and testing a fully standalone Performance ECU for the Yamaha R15. The ECU has been tested and evolved over race development. Our 2010 National Championship winning Group B Expert 165cc R15 developed by me, runs this very module. With immense tuning options and radical features, the system has been co-developed with Race Dynamics.

We have now been testing and optimizing a compact and highly advanced standalone module for street performance specifically only for the Yamaha R15. The gains are tremendous and the features are one of its kind and never-seen-before in any single cylinder motorcycle.

Some of the unique features on the system are,
*Launch control (lets you shoot off the start line with a fixed rpm)
*Launch control lights on display (on your existing cluster)
*Shift Lights (based on peak shift rpm)
    *Self diagnosing mode
    *Flat Shifter
*Downloadable fuel maps based on engine tune levels (more in detail below)
    *12000rpm rev limit
*Option to read/write for race-level tune

The features listed above are first of its kind ever to be seen on an Indian motorcycle and any single cylinder motorcycle ever, and have been evolved straight off my race bike R15 development. Options like Launch control, downloadable maps and shift lights, further enhance the overall performance experience by ensuring you get every bit of juice from your engine. Flat shift enables you to upshift without having to chop throttle during high rpm shifts. Thereby improving acceleration times.
The existing indication lights on the cluster - malfunction(orange LED) and overheat(red LED) will be adapted as shift light and launch control indicators over a sequence.

Maps for your ECU can be downloaded from our website (shortly available) based on your engine stage of tune. You can pick what level of tune you are running and the fuel maps are loaded by us over dyno testing and real world testing. Its just a click and load option.
The combinations that we will provide are,
    1. Full Stock engine (default curve)
    2. Full stock engine + my custom airfilter
    3. Full stock engne + my custom exhaust
    4. Full stock engine + my custom airfilter + exhaust
    5. 165cc Bigbore only
    6. 165cc Bigbore + fiter
    7. 165cc Bigbore + filter + exhaust
    8. 165cc Bigbore + filter + exhaust + street cam
    9. 165cc Bigbore + cylinder head mods + filter + exhaust + street cam

The map values will be defined based on my custom developed parts for the R15. I cant assure if the same map combination could work if you tried mating it with other aftermarket bits.
With the above combination, the engines should perform in the most bullet-proof and flawless manner and without having to have the need of constant map corrections for various conditions. Plug, play and enjoy.
For higher levels of tune, for a tuned motor, they will personally be set by me and most of the combinations defined above might not really support. The rev-limit of a tuned motor will vary based on the engine tune too.

The ECU is developed focusing on an everyday biker who seeks improved performance as a plug and play option. With the same level of reliability as a stock package. Works even for those who intend to go racing and touring and also for special levels of tune. Can even support forced induction application, if needed.

    ***********************************
EDIT - The ECU has been tested quite a bit and has already set the track on fire with a spectacular laptime in the Group D 165cc open class, during the MRF International Racing Challenge.

Below is the v-box figs attained by me on a bone stock R15.
    0-100kph - 13.95 secs - Stock ECU
    0-100kph - 12.8 secs - Our Custom ECU.

Enquiries maybe sent to my email id - [email protected] and [email protected]

                            Great going there.
Thats awsome news for all us bikers out there.

I had a few queries in mind.

I have a totally stock bike. If i fit your ECU on it then will the performance remain the same except the 12k limiter or will the map and power output be different from the stock bike.

Please dont mind my questions i dont have that much info regarding all these thats why im asking.

                            Thanks and again congrats.
