rohit and others ... all the comments that I'm making about new p180 is based on that specs that I have read.

No where I have read that bajaj has used better quality material in new p180 to increase the elf. If they have done that, then whats the guarantee that hh has not done the same with karizma???

So by keeping these unknown parameters aside, we can discuss based on some facts that we all know.

Have u ridden new p180???? I have said that I have not ridden a new p180. I have ridden old p180 and p150 both along with lots of other bikes. Also I love fiero but who told u that I like spledor?[V]

Well if I love a bike who has given me absolutely no problems in 70,000km (touch wood) and also during a 3,500km trip (did alone). Then whatever u say I have nothing to say about it.

Regarding ur love to ur bike, plz tell me how long ur having that bike, how much riding u have done on the bike??? Ne long trips exp???

        Regarding your signature saying following:
"nv spl-scooter" -> This is still one of the best scooter around ask ne one who has ridden it.
"fiero-tvs champ looks better" -> Looks are not every thing kid.
"rx100-good bike(doubt nav owns one)" -> I own one and who ever has a doubt can come to pune and find it out and if u can't do that then keep ur mouth shut.

I speak of fiero only as I have ridden it most of the time now. No one says ne thing about rx so quiet about that.

Well to me age has to do a lot about the way u ride. What I have seen is that younger riders are very careless riders (though there are always some exception).

Now as u r around 20, that means legally u have only 2yrs of riding exp. If u say that u were riding since 16/14 like that then thats illegal and this confirms my view that younger u r, more careless u r in ur life. I'm not saying I was not careless when I was of ur age but I never used to ride that time.

PS: Comments in this mail are not intended to any one specific and I do belive that there are always some exceptions.

rare-devil .. just 20k .. well I have only one thing to say to u regarding elf ... Ideally a good modern 4st bike should cover atleast 50k without ne problems ... after that depending on how u have maintained ur bike and bikes elf .. how long u can go will depend ... but after so much of discussion with u I doubt if u will have ur p150 for that long, u might go for some other bike (correct me if I'm wrong, just my thought).

Now that u have got to know what elf is ... do we need to discuss ne thing else??? If yes what????

No Arpan , those ratios are spot on , just that Pulsar's are overall ratios and Karizma's are , what I call internal ratios . Overall ratios = internal x primary reduction x final reduction

Tyke , why do you say the CBZ's ignition is not well done ( plz scientific reasons , though I suspected the same ! ) .

However , undersquare engine = more torque and oversquare engine = less torque is a misconception , I'll try to prove that sometime later .

Precisely Nav, i doubt if anybody of us here wud keep their bikes for the entire life of its engines when such radical changes are taking place in the indian biking arena (and this is one point going against low ELF - u hav a bike - njoy it 2 the most - even if it is at the cost of low ELF - wait this doesn't mean i agree that pulsars hav low ELF). Coz - keeping a bike for its entire life wud mean having an obsolete scrap in ur garage aft may b just 5-6 yrs dwn the line - even though it still has 'life' in it.

So let's end this discussion here and become freinds once again

Although the CBZ ignition is a complaint I heard from friends, personally the reason why i felt the CBZ's ignition is not spot on is the odd harshness at high revs (typical of premature ignition). The engine starts to pull cleanly and at about 90, the liveliness is suddenly gone. If this was a jetting problem, the engine should heat up due to the lean mixture. Didn't observe that. But I must say , I only have limited experience with the CBZ. Ur thoughts?

Mind u, i am assuming a common displacement here. If u are hinting at the surface area gain from a larger bore, I have been told that the stroke lengths more than make up for that. Either way, do put in ur ideas.

it becomes harsh with speed as the advance in the ignition is not mapped properly i think.
