1) doesnt look like a crash at that speed
2) doesnt look like you were wearing any riding gloves! (I know you mentioned that)
3) doesnt look like your knee guards did thier job
Consider yourself fortunate... and invest in the riding gear.
Riding gear is NOT your ticket to speed! It wont protect you against an impact!
PS: Kalyan Shilphatak is a busy road usually why were you speeding on such a road!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

get well soon buddy...ur riding gear has definitely done its job...at 119 a crash like that wud hav been fatal.......gotta get knee and elbow guards now!!!!!!!!!Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

Correct me guys, if I am wrong.
In such High speeds, I feel the make of the Bike matters a lot in giving you confidence. I mean the Handling and Braking.
Most of the dual shock performance bikes in India are not upto the mark in terms of handling and braking over triple digits is what I feel.
Here I am not trying to claim XXX bike is better than YYY, But to just quote that we should be more cautious in twisting the throttle when you have less confidence.

Handling depends on several parameters, and one major part is the suspension. Old dual shocks GP bikes may go fast. That doesn't mean they handle better than modern single shocks GP bikes. Besides doing 300+ doesn't prove their handling either. It means they can go really fast in a straight line.Originally posted by Vignesh vnktrmn View PostThe number of shock absorbers at the rear have nothing to do with confidence. Check out GP bikes of the seventies and eighties. Hell, even the juggernaut TZ750 had two shock absorbers at the rear and their riders took them to nearly 300 KpH.
Yes, even straight line speed requires good handling like the drag machines or speed record breaking machines. But I believe we are talking more in term of handling the bumps and curves.
Single shocks has been proven as superior. Most dual shocks in the developed world are still being used due to their nostalgic value. Here, we are still using them as our technology has yet to catch up.
