What subsidy does they give friends????? First they charge almost 50% taxes on lpg & petrol and they provide 50% or maybe lesser subsidy only on lpg (which is proposed to be revoked soner) and when oil companies increase price taxes are imposed again .. So what subsidy they give i don't understand .?.?.?.?.?

Oh god.. I wish for a transparent fuel pricing policy.
Till then, people like me can do only two things..
        1. Cost cutting
        2. Cost cutting..

I used to ride at an average speed of around 60Km/H to go to my college and do speeds of around 30-40 Km/H while returning but now I try to stay in the green zone for as long as possible!
I have the caburettor settings changed to "lean" and so now,I am getting an average of around 38-40( instead of the earlier 28-35)!
My college is around 16 Kilometers(via the direct/heavy Traffic laden route) from my home or 20 Kilometers(very scarce traffic)

I think when I start earning I will (have to) switch to electric vehicles. Meanwhile I thank my parents for providing me with this wondrous fuel and saving me the jolts of fuel price rise.

But even then the price rise is quite worrying. However its not surprising since its a limited non-renewable source of fuel. Its bound to dry up and hit sky high prices in due time.

I got no office... And thus I ride less... May be just Rs.1000 in a month, so no problem for me.

As for the Petrol prices, I've decided to buy a Cycle.....Again! (No kidding)
but it'd be fun to tell dad that I need a cycle...reminds me of 4th std.
One day I'll tell to my kids(many many years from now i.e )...there was a time when we used to fill a litre of petrol for 50Rs and roam around on bikes like passion and splendor for 3 days ...

On a more serious note, My daily commuter needs are worst affected by this hike(TN petrol price over 70Rs ). On weekdays, I cover a total of 26kms min per day and as of now I don't have a partner to share my petrol expenses, which leaves me with an expense of Rs.60 min daily. My bike(10 yr old cbz) gives around a mileage of 40kmpl...
Thinking of the future, well, I'm thinking of marrying a petrol-bunk owners' daughter...

Rs. 74.20 in Hyderabad. Which bike gives the best mileage? I think I'd better shift to that soon, cos Public transport is pretty terrible in Hyderabad and I need to travel 70Kms everyday from home to office and back.
Pulsar,KTM,Ninja,CBR,etc.. etc... Bye bye to all.
