relaxing the petrol prices by two or three rupees will be good. that way janata will be happy and the oil companies can look to fill their losses. then on they can slash the price accordingly.
the other thing we have to look at is the dollar rate as well.Bikes don't spill oil, they mark their territory.

They will slash the petrol price before the election i.e next 2 months may be for sure.. And yes reducing it by 2-3 Rs will be good for us and petroleum companies also

We are here talking about our Govt. reducing fuel prices, while the middle-east countries producing oil(called OPEC or whatever) are worried that the price per barrel is falling. I read in paper a few days back, that they were even holding discussions to reduce oil production, so that the demand stays high and the result of which is high oil price per barrel.
Answering to the query, I guess there will not be a reduction anytime soon; atleast not until the oil companies recover their sustained losses. Even if it is going to be, it will only be just before the election.Democracy is when 2 wolves and a sheep meet to decide who is for dinner. Liberty is when the sheep has a gun.

This would be a gamble at the time of elections if the oil price still go with the same rate till next 3-4months. Definetely there would be a price reduction for some 2-4 rs....Originally posted by mithun.08 View PostThey will slash the petrol price before the election i.e next 2 months may be for sure.. Bush came in, oil went up. Bush going out, oil going down. He made his money, and he's going to settle down in some corner of the world using a 20 dollar bill as a tissue.
Ok, enough of the political rant.
Anyone check the price at Shell lately? The Shell prices are directly linked to the global prices. I'd love to see the price difference now."Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

he he..in this business everyone wants to profit OPEC[oil producing and exporting countries] are worried cause they were earning hell Lotta money when the price of oil was more than 100$/barrel but now they are earning less so they will lower the oil production and when the prices where high then they said that they'll increase out put and speculators are responsible for increase in price.....and yeah the oil companies are earnign a hell lot from this and i wonder why the govt isnt reducing price , if they reduce price then janata will support them and it will effect the vote banks will negatively effect BJP hehe...Originally posted by Aparajith View PostWe are here talking about our Govt. reducing fuel prices, while the middle-east countries producing oil(called OPEC or whatever) are worried that the price per barrel is falling. the state \ment by the govt that the oil companies will recover the looses ..its all rubbish just wait and watch this quarter profit of ONGC,OIL,Indian Oil
will be more than 24%-30%
and yeah the increase in the cost of the oil has been the direct effect of invasion of iraq
when iraq want invaded then indian got oil from iraq at 25-30$/barrel and yeah then the cost of petrol was rs25/liter [or something like that]
i am talking about the situation 5-6 years back...
i hate bush very much because of this and a anti "u.s." feeling has come within me because of this and many reasons are there.
i wont write anymore as this will go offtopic...Last edited by haxor; 11-14-2008, 03:49 PM.Speak Less,Speak Wise!
