A cut of Rs 10/- would be a great news indeed! Petrol would be Rs38/- in Pondy and other Union territories then! How sweet!

Btw, Shell has already brought down it's Unleaded petrol price (in Chennai) to Rs 56.5. A mere Rs 1.5 more than what the state-owned outlets sell.
All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. E. Lawrence

Same case in Hyderabad. AP has the highest state tax on fuels in India.

Lucky you, here in Bangalore normal petrol costs about 57.x and premium cost about 59.x!

I would be so glad to have the petrol price below 50 in bangalore. Else I will be bankrupt filling petrol for my car here.

At 47 per litre, that will be a big excuse for me to get riding again... family expenses will look better

Below 50/- on Petrol sure would be awesome. Heard that the oil companies started to make 15 bucks profit on a liter of Petrol from Nov-1 and 10 bucks on a liter of diesel from Nov - 15. My uncle at Essar says that they might reduce the fuel prices only by Jan 1st or by December last week. It seems only then would the Oil companies have some liquidity with them.

And by then these Oil Producing Countries will reduce production to increase the price and we will be back to square-one!

P.S : Thankfully I/dad have a diesel monster. But even then our fuel bills are crazy due to the pathetic mileage it gives. Its a Scorpio CRDe.

                        Good News Petrol gets cheaper

The government on Friday cut prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 2 a litre, respectively. There would not be any change in LPG and kerosene prices. The move is effective from midnight today.

Source: Petrol price cut by Rs 5, diesel Rs 2

^ All : Would request everyone to carry out discussions at one place(ideally carry all the discussions related to petrol prices here)...!!
