    • Few words from Joseph on cost saving

"Joseph is right in stating that the Pulsar 200NS can do without saving 900 grammes if it means to save over Rs 20,000 for the suspension units and the cast aluminium swing arm!"

      • Last two pictures from the launch

This is how a 5'11'' guy look on the bike

Note: The bike is definitely tall. Not sure why this picture came out like this but my feets were touching in a better way than what came out here

Without him this coverage was not possible. He was on this toes during the whole duration of the launch. Thanks inflammable(Alok Das) for all the support

          • Was just browsing through the old articles and came across the press release of Bajaj RE 60 and realised that its engine is 200 cc liquid cooled and has FI with closed loop system. Its really heartening to see that such neglected category of vehicle has been loaded with latest techno gadgetry which none has thought earlier.

So this makes it very evident that the only reason for exclusion of FI from Pulsar 200 NS is to save cost keeping in mind the price consciousness of the intended customer/market. Not that Bajaj is not capable of designing it. This also hints that FI might be made available to the export customers where price might not be that relevant as it is in India and only technology might be the key point for selling.

Both bikes are absolutely new. None of them is proven over the other. Both are made in the same plant on the same shared assembly line. PuNS is cheaper because it uses less exotic stuff and more Russian jugaad . KTM does it how it ought to be done. Cannot say without a proper test ride on both of them but if you are on a budget and stretching it to include the KTM, there is nothing wrong in *settling* for the PuNS instead. But if you have exclusivity in your 'Must Have' list of features, you are better off with the more exotic cousin.

Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                        • The front mudguard has dual tone! If and only if they had the racing lines on this bike it would look so much more hotter! but then there is nothing that the local vinyl shop cant do!

Any chance you can get the power and torque curves details?
Maybe somebody else has recorded that.

yes, i don't think P200NS will have a waiting period of more than 30 days, coz BAL has a history of delivering the pulsars faster than competition. it is one of there strategies to beat the competition. this way you can always snatch 5-10 % more customers.
