I guess they are testing lower cc version.
There were two Pulsars coming out. 200cc and 150cc.
    Must be the 150NS.

Please dont tell me that they are launching the same body but with a 150cc engine...That would be so off bajaj!!!

The present Pulsars from 150 to 220 all have the same body except different engines [and some minor parts]. That is typical Bajaj. They have to justify saving costs on the same platform.

        • While coming to office , just had a thought, even in future if Bajaj comes with multicylinder [read it twin], that means it has to have 6 spark plugs .
but the fact is Bajaj will release higher CC bikes but with single engine.
imagine inline 4 with 12 spark plugs

The higher cc engines will be from KTM. Most probably from 350 Duke and 690 Duke.

            • ^^^ Lol Nagoo, hilarious post. I'd this thought for sometime that, when the entire world keeps going on increasing cylinders, camshaft & valves, BAL's R&D keeps increasing the number of spark plugs.

My worries are more on the combination of powerful bike + affordable pricing + undisciplined riders

Anyway, nothing bad if it yields good result. I asked a question to the people who attended the session as how the triple sparks help, but looks like no one knows or they haven't read the question.

Quite true Satya; but let me tell you my friend, for one reason I'm quite happy that we're not into 200bhp. Forget the infras, our country needs a lot more on education on how we ride/drive on road & we need lots & lots of enforcement.

Without that, I'm terrified to ride peacefully.

I agree with your statement. We need a lot of stringency in our licensing norms to ensure that we can survive with the upgrade in technology.

We have instances where even better infrastructure results in undesirable incidents due to lack of discipline and training. The Mumbai - Pune Expressway is a prime example; with a prescribed speed limit of 80 km/hr (pessimistic as usual), you can find Beemers, Mercs, Audis, Hondas and even Sumos trying to better their individual speed records. Lack of a penalizing authority only causes more indiscipline.

                    • Looking at the past Avenger always got the best heart from the pulsar series. So is there a possibility of transplanting heart of P200NS on to Avenger?

Absolutely Agree .. many times i thank that we have only till 250CC bikes with less power on roads .. imagining that a 150+BHP R1/Hyabusa riding recklessly on our roads sends me heart attack

The reason being its tried and tested. The 200 on the other side is new technology, you can trust the reviews but a good feedback of 5 months should be able to tell you how the bike is. Since its not present and you need wheels then the R15 is anytime better. Also the 200 hasn't been made available and the reviews these days make me feel of marketing tactics and nowhere close to reality....

Thats a personal suggestion, would not be contributing much in it after this post.

The R15 has history, 200NS is just born!!!

                          +1...
Booked the R15... Its my 1st bike.. It had to be special.. So its R15..

When the Pulsar200f comes, i'll buy that too..

Only if angels lived on Earth and Ninjas came cheap.

p.s. It maybe an entry level bike abroad, but its a powerful machine in here. Handling such power needs experience. And I'm more keen on learning than arguing.
