I remember doing such a Jugaad on my Pulsar 150 some 6 years back. It was among the first model of Pulsars I had. The funny thing was that the screw in the clutch lever always snapped in 2 pieces after every 2 or 3 thousand kms. Somehow all the pressure came onto that one screw whenever I depressed the clutch. I was coming home from office and just after a signal on Pune-Solapur Road I heard a "thakk" sound and the screw was gone. Split into two. This was the first time the screw had broken. The cable and everything else was working fine. But now there was nothing for the clutch lever to engage around and was moving freely all around the place. I was confused as well as amazed at how that particular screw could break into 2... Wondering on where I could find a mechanic, my eyes fell on a piece of a broken pencil lying on the side of the road. And it was just the Perfect size! Jugaad...Took the pencil, adjusted the clutch cable and put it in place of the screw. The pencil held on snugly due to the pressure generated by the clutch lever. And I rode my bike with that pencil for 3 days. And for those 3 days I always kept a spare pencil just in case..

Overall I had to change the screw 5-6 times during the time the bike was with me.

A jugad tip from my side :
you feel disk brake lever spongy like some air bubbles is present in the system, but there's no way or spares etc to get it bleeded.. So the jugad is press & hold the brake lever as tight/hard as possible & tie it with the handel bar so that brake lever stay pressed. Wait for 2 hours before untieing it and you'll have much lower spongy feeling.. Wait overnight & it will be like new.
Works on all disk brake systems desi bikes features, though cant say about the booster equipped systems (never tested on them)

@nin : the jugad u have mentioned didnt work , this is the one that worked for another 300 kms

My Jugaad-

Problem - Crashed my 220 once. The front fender cracked. It was vibrating and touching the tire. It was also getting on my nerves

Solution - Put scotch tape from underneath and filled the crack with fevi quick.

Result - Its been 2.5 years and many more crashes, the fender is still stuck with the same tape and glue

My Jugaad -
Was riding my RTR when suddenly I noticed my rear tyre was sliding on oil spill. The engine oild drain nut came out and I was just slow enough to stop my bike before I skid. Pushed the bike the to the nearest motorcycle shop and got a Spark Plug (very old) and used it as the nut. It worked well.

WHAAAT!! No wipers!!

Feviquick always works...5rupaye mein kaam

My friend crashed his 220 into the back of a ford endeavour and the internal clamps of the fairing holding the head-lamp broke...the fairing and the head-lamp were ok..but since the internal clamps broke bajaj SVC said the entire thing had to be replaced as only internal clamps cannot be sold separately...which costed something between 8-12k..

I took the bike to a mechanic and asked him to open the entire fairing...bought a bigger pack of feviquick for 25rs and asked the mechanic to stick the internal clamps in place...80rs labour and the jugaad is still working..2.5years now

Found a led strip which lightened up white light and on changing polarity into RED light...



Connected it into the feedback cable of the tail light and now whenever i brake it glows



And now thats my multi-purpose camera mount!

This is how it doubles up as a bag holder after shopping!
