The helmet lock which I have put on my rear grab rail came with a 6 month warranty and had a 3 click position system so it was held in place by grooves inside the roller so even when the bike went over potholes, it did not bounce around.

Unfortunately for me the moment the 6 month period ended this 3 click thing failed, the plastic bit which went and fitted into the groove itself broke off

Now I have seen similar thing on my friend's bike and since it bounces around and in general hits the body fibre above the tail light, I have seen everything from it leading to loss of colour at that place to that bit of plastic cracking!

Since I wanted to avoid such things on my bike, I bought a non-dust eraser (since it is very soft, cost Rs1), cut it into a smaller piece, coloured it black with a permanent black marker that I had lying around, and stuck it into place with a little bit of fevi-quick.

      Result? Permanent peace of mind!

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Hey Nin I will really really appreciate if you can post a DIY for how you made that camera mount. And if not then the steps you took to build it!

By the way what camera fits in there? Is it a call-phone cam? Because the video quality didn't feel as if it were from some point and shoot? Or is it because it is vibrating?

Also if you can tell us more about the helmet cam it'll be great! Too bad I cannot afford stuff like GoPro's thats why jugaad wins!

Hey nin, thanks for replying! As it turns out I checked your channel on youtube quite sometime back! Saw the older mount on the motocross helmet then. Great to see the new style mount! Fantastic work!

By the way the off roading video is awesome! Did you guys go all the way to Rajmachi? Thats a good 21km from Lonavala i think! I had gone trekking there, Start from Karjat via Rajmachi and then all the way down to Lonavala! Had seen some heavy duty jeeps and gypsies alongside with villagers CD Dawns off roadin it up in the monsoons!

Thank you ! Yes went there even in the monsoons..when the conditions are just not right !

And that reminds me...we had done a lot of jugaad for that ride..check the entire set of pics out here...

Mud and slush gets stuck in between the tyre and the mud-guard like this..and interferes in the free movement of the tyre..

To avoid it had done a local jugaad

                      Which did help a lot

But unfortunately the battle-tank that we took along sank and we had to pull it out with ropes..a local jugaad again !
