I have one query though! with the Performance Air Filter left open to interact with the elements, how would the bike fair when it is say raining heavily?? Do let me know what did Joel tell you in this regard.. thanks.

    Cheers,
The silver plastic panel covering the filter takes care of it even during heavy rains.

I will lend you my go-pro and you can take some videos for sure. The way 120s come-up is quite surprising for the fact that its only an FZ with 2 valves
The new cam does wonders and keeps the valvetrain as reliable as stock.

@Shivang - I now have the stock replacement airfilter for the FZ. Sits inside your airbox and keeps all the elements away for good .
Im coming for the go pro

I believe an inexpensive Rs. 65-70/- 15T front sprocket change from the stock 14T will drastically shoot up the top end speed of your FZ-RC. However, the gearing will change and the low end torquey nature of FZ will diminish. You will be having fun belting her on the highway though and the stress level of the engine will reduce as the rpms required to achieve the speed will significantly go down. I'd say try it out once... If you don't like it, you can always revert to stock..

Either Honda Unicorn or Bajaj Pulsar 15T sprocket will be a direct fit.

    Cheers,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it out

Make no mistake, it's but obvious that the db killer needs to be in while riding within the city limits. I have clearly mentioned that the ffe comes installed with a db killer.

            Joelled FZ!!

Welcome to the club Rylan.. I got my FZ souped up by Joel on Jan 1 - 2012 and I have been wanting to post about my experience ever since.

I got the big bore and head work done in my FZ. I already own the Daytona FFE. I am very much aware that Joel's FFE must be way better. Owing to financial constraints, I have put the rest of the upgrades on hold.

My experience with FZ - RC is very much similar to what Rylan has stated! Joel is the only man who can unleash the beast within a FZ. Hats off! Respect as always.

I have done 4200 kms on the ODO with the new build. And I must say that is the best 4200 kms I ever rode in my FZ which is actually 14000kms old. I constantly get 40 plus mileage figures and in punishing mode it sometimes drops down to nothing less than 37.

I clocked 124 kmph in OMR (Chennai) in a very short stretch i must say, at night with this setup:
            - Joel's Bigbore
            - Headwork
            - Stock Air Filter
            - Daytona FFE

Could have clocked more only if the road had permitted With people crossing the road here and there, I had to slow down!

The engine never seems to be stressed out, even while riding at 90+ speeds constantly for long periods.

            Joel is GOD __/\__

                      Arguably the fastest fz built.

                      Stats:

                      0 to 60 in 3 seconds
                      0 to 100 in 9 seconds
                      Top whack of 135 km/h

It hits the limit pretty darn fast and is right there with no loss in performance whatsover. i have no more words. Phew!!!

Ps: A complete update on the latest mods will be up soon in this thread, busy riding my rocket

"Really? Why don't you try racing your friends stock FZ with this one? The Joeled FZ will show dust to it and then it will dissapear on the Joeled FZ's rear view mirrors...if you know what I mean."

is it so dear? am always ready for that..i didnt test this under a normal conditions and i have done it in the KARI motors speedway in coimbatore.always i will be there only and just come over there.

Your abuse of smileys does not make your general attitude less aggressive, Premkumar! All what you have shown so far is ignorance and laziness in reading posts. Anyway: no-one really cares.....

Thanks Rylan for this thread! I had missed it and it confirms once again, if the need may be anymore, the excellence of the work done by Joel Joseph!

I have, as you may have read in the ownership thread, my FZ16-Fazer souped up to 200cc. using mostly parts supplied from Indonesia. The whole thing was a PITA, as Mad Mik who has got his from the same supplier will confirm! I very much regret not to have ordered the whole thing from Race Concepts, but I really liked the idea of going up to 200cc. instead of 180...! I asked joel if we would study a 200cc., but he never replied...

We shall not have the opportunity to do a "drag race" you and I, and I anyway still have to solve the problem of my improperly tuned exhaust, but we should, Mad Mik and I be able to do it together, while he would record the results on his Go-Pro camera. Will then be able to compare our video with yours....just that Mad Mik is 100kg (+), and myself 80++....while pics I have seen of Joel seem to show someone about, say: 65kg.? Comparing apples and...pumpkins that will be. We also got 15 teeth gearbox sprockets...
When I do something stupid, my consolation is to know that I'll do the worse one only once!

                              Hey Rylan,

Eagerly awaiting for more updates on the ownership experience so far... least bothered about the FE figures but more keen on knowing about:

                              1) The performance scene till now
                              2) If you have witnessed any engine knocking
                              3) If you have witnessed any flat spots in the power band from start to all the way to redline!!
                              4) If you see small rust formations on the FFE then a small visit to a chrome plating shop will help.. will cost you under 1k to do the whole FFE.
                              5) Post 8,000 kms you will have to replace the glass wool inside the FFE. You can take help from Joel to figure out which would a place close by. Usually refrigerator or ac repair shops should have plenty of it.
                              6) Would love to know the top end of your ride post 15T mod.. you should expect the no. to be around 140+.

                              Cheers,
A quote by a toilet, " use me well, keep me clean, i would never tell anybody whatever i have seen.." :P
