I wanted a Black P220 DTS-Fi and my GF (now ex) wanted a Blue P200. In the end i gave up and went for a Blue P200 DTS-i . I Had to wait almost a month after paying the full amount in cash for the Blue bike as blue was not readily available.
Today i am way happier with P200. 4.5 years down the line and she still kicks butt. Handles like a queen, No FI issues, Pops 3rd gear wheelies (with zma sprocket) and still looks Gorgeous in blue

hahaha nice topic this. Not just girfriends even wives do this. We are in the process of buying a bike, and my GF turned wife has given me an ultimatum, it has to be The Pulsar
Blue one or Black one. Thank god she did nt say Pink..
I tried reasoning hard but to no avail. Only consolation is that Pulsar may not be a bad choice after all. Finally after lots of begging she has allowed to give some consideration to Avenger, provided it is blue or black.
Its not always about speed.

^^ smart piece of advice..just make them feel like they are incharge, give them only those options to chose from, which you can live with.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postits simple take ur gf to all the showrooms u go for test ride, so that ur gf feels important and feels a part of the process. thats all they want. then choose a bike u want.
btw, my ex gf taunted me once saying r15 is only 150cc while her friend had a 350cc (RE) (poore 200cc jyada lol :P). I am glad shes my ex :Psigpic

My GF now Wife always has a say about which Bike I can buy.
She had a say with the Avenger (that she till day loves!)
She had a say on the RTR!
She had a say on the R15
She had a say on the Ninja250 (which I didnt buy)
She had a say on the Ninja650 (which I did buy!)
She had a say on the Duke 200 (which she didnt like, more so as the "Service centre rep did not let her even sit as a pillion!!)
She had a say on the Impulse (which she loved and keeps hinting that I should buy it! Perhaps More so with the service centre rep allowing us to go on a one up decently long test ride!!!)
She had a say on the P200NS too!

And before you have convenient assumption. She definitely has a say, and she will always have a a say.
But for my own safety, I am refraining from stating whether or not I was listening :PLast edited by satyenpoojary; 06-18-2012, 03:39 AM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Never Let UR GirlFriend Decide Ur Bike.
Becoz they are lack of knowlege about bikes and its performance
.
They only know when she say's Looking at bike say "That bike is so CUTE ".
GIRL knows only about beauti and sound .
for eg : 1 day i was driving with
my Gf she looking
@ R15 told that what cute bike . i said that bike made for children below 15
.
Angel in CITY , DEMON on HIGHWAY .

Before I started to get her approval i tried to gave her the hint of what a biking is! By involving in with test rides, then explaining technically the different feeling she experienced with different bike (off course in laymen language so a girl can understand) mostly it was explaining the feel of bike like acceleration(feeling of flying), turning(just like joyride in marry go round feeling), safety( stability and control), suspension( control & convenience) etc and yes every possible visit to auto expo to show & touch what are the ultimate beauty and showing the legends(R1, Aprilla, CBR1200 etc.) so that she automatically helps with right attitude to help me select a bike.....which is My Flying Duck( R15 V1 Blue). now she can also prove technically why i choose R15 to her friends And other male known to etc..with command.
There is one secret also all my explanation to here were biased toward R15, though there was no need, R15 is really superior, but who wants to take riskDrive FAST but not Rough, Drive SAFE But not Slow.
