Anyways.. Jokes apart, You know best what you want from the bike. Just to keep her happy, make her choose the color, because thats the bit that doesn't change anything in the bike's function.

I just hope that Manufacturers refrain from bringing the color PINK in any form for the bikes. That will certainly put one in jeopardy.

Nevertheless gf/wife do have a major say (usually a yes or no nod) in most of the cases

There are many True Loves, who actually are serious and get married in future. So a GF deciding a bike not correct, it's GF suggestions on bike is correct.

Yes of course it will matter. Becuase after a marriage it's a family decision. Don't wifes piss off our heads for more mileage bikes, less cost, maitenance, no loan bike, etc ??

So i guess even GF can speak here too. If she is real love by whom we will marry!!! Then surely we must consult with her too. We don't know each other here on xbhp, only community friends. And we respect the suggestions given by her bhpians then why not our love ones?????

After all they are your pillions on most of the hate and lovable rides. So they have rights to speak!!!

If it's a show off stuff than Keep GF out of this arena!!!!

Recently i was looking forward to buy ktm duke. I was proudly telling my gf that i am going to buy a new performance bike with so and so power and styling. One day she told me that her sister's boyfriend just bought a strange bike with orange color

and peculiar body with "duke" written on it. She said "that bike is so horrible chiiiiii yak " and i was like

Now i am going to buy pulsar 200 ns not because my girl hates ktm duke but because there is no service center near my home and the rear seat is too small for her comfort.

^^I Agree. Specially to the underlined part. IMO They have a part in the decisions specially if they are going to spend a long time on the pillion. After all they too are a part of our life. If they are wrong, it is our responsibility to make them understand why we think they are wrong and make try to make them understand the technicalities in a better way.

When we bought a swift, I made sure I explained my wife the reason behind the purchase. She did nt like the shape, yet with my reasoning she saw what I meant. Then in course of time I used to compare other cars while driving them with our car making her understand the practical implications of my decision both the pros and cons as well.
Now she explains it pretty well to any of her friends, why we bought a swift and why they should buy or not buy one.

I guess it wont be right to say they dont understand anything about bikes. With a little bit of effort we can bring them to a plane where they can see reason in our decisions.

If they cant, then they ll leave it to us saying you decide what is good. Then we can always consult with them regarding the colour etc.
