    In 2006 December, I had to buy Karizma due to my wife's special interest in it. Though I liked Karizma, I had always thought that it was a big bike and will be an overkill for me. I was hoping to buy the just launched CBZ Xtreme then. We both went to Hero Honda showroom to book the Xtreme, but immediately wife pointed to Karizma and asked me to buy it, and she told me that she didn't like Xtreme. So whats next? ended up buying the ZMA.

      Its good that your wife likes ZMA, I know a guy who wanted to buy a Pulsar 180 while his wife argued that Activa is the best and it has a huge unseat space while bikes have nothing like it.

        Well for me it worked well though she is just my bestest buddy and not a GF and there are no plans of marrying either so no point of future and family stuff still I let her have a say on it and she was bang on with P220 black . The other option she gave me was R15 v2 in any color of my choice. And those two were actually in my head too.

        But for those who really think girls should not have a say on this I would say lets just cut down the options for them and still let them feel important.

        I finally asked her to decide amongst 220, ZMR and r15 and she actually made the comparisons (not technically just the big picture) and looking at my requirements and financial conditions picked up 220.

        For that wise decision I gave her another say on the color as I myself was confused between blue black and black and she gave in on black and that made it easier for me.

        Who in this world asks his GF to choose a bike for him with the whole catalog in front of her starting from Splendor to CBR .

          My mom does the same ( sorry for brining in the family members :P )

          4 years back I was due to buy an karizma and ended up buying an Suzuki Access.. she used to show daily bike accidents in the local newspapers... after 4 years of struggle i got the Bullet Classic at last

                      Well, I'm lucky in this case then!
                      I've a biker GF.

                      Hence, while buying my ride I asked her one question.
                      Q. Which bike will serve my touring needs?

                      Her replies were:-
                      A1. Not a Pulsar... (she says 7/10 are pulsars... Whatever the cc!)
                      A2. Not an Apache... (I was horrified when she mentioned vibes... )
                      [she rides her colleague's RTR BTW]
                      A3. RE TBTS... (She liked, but it was over my budget by quite some margin.)
                      A4. Avenger 200/220... (She said that the long wheel base will hamper riding in traffic)
                      A5. ZMA-R/ZMR... (She liked the ZMA-R more... ZMR looked ugly to her....)

                      But, the showroom in my native had just the ZMR at the time. That too only Pearl White models... More than 10-15 of them...
                      Hence the ZMR!

                      Her apprehension about the ugliness of ZMRs has almost gone by now...
                      [though she likes the black one more.... ]
                      So, I'm a happy BF!

                                I am in the mode of upgrading my bike... One of my choices where RE C3 or electra... when I showed them to my wife she said they look arrogant and ugly. Eventually girls don't like somthing not so sheen like a Karizma or a R15.

                                Girls look for pillion comfort yes, but its not the only thing following are the other criterias - atleast from my wife..

                                1. Looks has to be great and modern and should match their favorite color.
                                2. Pillion position has to be comfortable
                                3. Should not sound loud or harsh (KTM s are big no).
                                4. Has to be unique, dont want to be lost in the crowd (of pulsar s for e.g )

                                amidst of the last point I still beleive I can pacify her for a pulsar 200 ns.. if at all bajaj has named it anything other than pulsar my job would have been easier

                                I think I can pacify her for a p200 ns.
                                Its crime to ride a car alone, so I ride bike :).
